Lovely place. Lovely hosts. A guest we met, Kevin, wow...his love of rollercoasters is unparalleled. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. This is the place to stay away from the hustle and bustle and within walking distance of a tram stop. Cheers!

About This Hotel

The Royal Hotel is a family run property that prioritises a friendly, homely welcome. It sits close to the promenade and offers a compact selection of ten en suite rooms. The emphasis is on practical comfort and reliable service rather than flashy design, with a hands on team ready to help you settle in and plan your days by the coast. From its address at 57 Clifton Drive guests enjoy easy access to sea front scenery and the traditional rhythm of a seaside town. The location makes it ideal for daylight strolls along the promenade, relaxed dinners in the area and quick trips to the beaches when you want to switch off and breathe in the bracing sea air. The simple, convenient setup makes this hotel a reliable base for short breaks and longer stays alike. While this hotel does not list an on site pool, the promenade location naturally supports a strong beach day experience. Guests can step out and follow the coast for a family friendly day by the sea, or simply enjoy the scent of salt air and the gentle rhythm of waves as you unwind after a day exploring. Inside, all rooms are en suite and designed for easy living. Each room includes a private bathroom with a hairdryer, and guests will find a Freeview television for evening entertainment. Tea and coffee facilities are provided to start the day without leaving the comfort of your room, adding a touch of home away from home. Renovation details are not provided by the data. What is clear is the hotel’s long standing, family run character and its focus on dependable essentials. Guests choosing this property are likely to value a straightforward, well kept space, where the welcome is personal and the atmosphere relaxed. Parking is free and on site, a real plus in a busy seaside area, but spaces are limited and booking ahead is not possible. Check in runs from 14:30 to 22:00 and check out is by 10:30, helping guests keep to a gentle pace whether they are arriving after a long journey or heading out early for a day by the water. Families are welcome at the Royal Hotel. The property notes that children of any age are accepted, and a few generous options apply. Up to three children aged 13 and under can stay for free when using existing beds, while there is no provision for extra beds or cots. The maximum occupancy is five guests in total, making this a practical choice for small families or groups seeking value without sacrificing comfort. Guests should note that the minimum age for check in is 18, which helps create a relaxed, responsible environment. There is no curfew and you can come and go as you please, a straightforward policy that suits travelers who plan to explore the area at their own pace and enjoy longer evenings by the coast. No internet access is available at the hotel according to the policy on file. While this may be a drawback for some travelers, it also invites a simpler, unplugged stay that encourages conversation, strolls along the promenade and a slower pace that is well suited to a seaside break. Pets are allowed on request and charges may apply, adding flexibility for guests who want to bring a dog or other small companion on their Blackpool area visit. On site parking remains free for guests with this privilege, helping keep costs predictable during a coastal getaway. Information about on site dining is not listed. Photos show areas that resemble a lounge and dining space, but the data does not confirm whether meals are served on site. If dining options are important, guests may wish to verify arrangements before arrival or plan meals in nearby venues along the promenade. With its location by the promenade, warm family atmosphere and simple, practical rooms, the Royal Hotel suits travelers who want a dependable seaside base. It is especially appealing to budget minded families, couples seeking a relaxed break and visitors who prioritise a friendly welcome, convenient parking and a straightforward stay over luxury amenities. This is a property that delivers a reliable stay with character and a sense of belonging to a small, welcoming community by the sea.
