About This Hotel

The Countryman Inn, run by a family, is a pub with rooms on Blacknoll Lane in East Knighton, near Wool in Dorset. It lies beside the A252, midway between Dorchester and Wareham, in the countryside Thomas Hardy wrote about.

All rooms are en suite and come with a TV, ironing equipment, a hairdryer and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rustic bars have open fires and serve home-cooked food, and a Sunday carvery runs in two lunchtime sittings.

There is a large car park, a garden, family rooms and internet access. Check-in runs from 2pm to 10pm, with check-out at 10am. It suits walkers exploring rural Dorset.
