Alba House

Fantastic room and comfortable bed. Quiet area nice location.

Breakfast not available, but the host recommended an excellent local eating place 5 minute walk and the food was superb…

The hotel is perfectly located on 4 bus routes, you can get anywhere in the city from right outside the hotel.

Beautiful, large, immaculate room with comfortable king size bed. Bathroom looked newly remodeled, and was very functional and well maintained. Close to transportation. Bus stop was on the same block as inn. 15 minutes to town on the bus. Owner was very nice. Would highly recommend the Alba House if you are ok with using the bus system to get to and from the downtown area of Edinburgh.

We loved everything about the accommodation. After travelling through Europe and the UK for 4 weeks, Alba House was easily the best accommodation we stayed in.

Clean comfortable spacious accommodation within easy reach of central Edinburgh.

Very comfortable bed and mattress, super comfortable quilts. Friendly hosts, quick to respond to my questions about shower. Spacious room. Clean and nice bathroom. Cosy and warm interior design. Beautiful garden design at the front door. Safe neighbourhood, convenient public transport to city centre.

Great location near Edinburgh University, bus route into city centre & close to shopping centre

The host was very welcoming and gave us lots of good tips for our time in Edinburgh. Just a quick bus ride into the city centre.

Bus stop into city center across the street. Close walk to convenient store / food market.

Comfortable but to many stairs and no help. It was clean

The hostess was amazing - very bubbly, helpful and informative- giving travel options and recommendations where asked. The room we were in was so tall and it was lovely and cosy. I appreciate the fact there was a small desk fan in the room also :) Great location!

Alba House is a lovely place to stay! Our hosts were very pleasant and gave us great information about getting around the city easily. The bus stop is right across the street! Our room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom and amenities. Great value, too! We highly recommend!

The location was ideal for accessing the main city core (Royal Mile) by short bus ride yet convenient enough for leaving the City by car. The host was very nice, personable and a great help for instructing us on how to use the local bus system to get through the City.

Clean and tidy

Located really close to bus stops, which made getting to and from the accommodation really easy. Cath was super lovely and responsive over message and she was super helpful! We would 1000% come back and stay here. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom newly renovated and clean.
