Walking distance to important historic sites with Sophia Mosque less than 1 minute away. Attentive staff. Outstanding breakfast starts the day. Chef prepares great eggs using various techniques. That is in addition to being served traditional Turkish breakfast foods. Our room had good view of Sophia Mosque. Bed was Comfortable with a small desk facing the mosque.

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Saint Sophia! Hotel Saint Sophia is perfectly located right behind the iconic Hagia Sophia, in the heart of Istanbul’s historical district. It’s only a 5-minute walk to Sultanahmet Square, where you’ll find the main entrance to the Hagia Sophia and the beautiful Blue Mosque. Just across the hotel is the famous Basilica Cistern — another must-see attraction. The location couldn’t be more convenient for exploring the old town. Everything is within easy walking distance — charming restaurants, cafés, and local shops. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Special thanks to the entire team for their warm hospitality and excellent service. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing retreat after a full day of sightseeing. The breakfast is very good — delicious, fresh, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Istanbul and looking for comfort, convenience, and genuine Turkish hospitality!

This was our first time in Istanbul and with a toddler (one and a half year old girl) and we changed our hotel at the last minute. That was the best decision we could have made. This hotel is amazing. It is located right next to Hagia Sophia. Everything in the old city is at walking distance. Also, the hotel was really clean, breakfast was amazing, room was nice and spacious. But what made our whole trip were the staff. There are no words to describe how amazing they were, so warm, generous, helpful and welcoming. From the guys at the reception to the waiters and cleaning ladies. I would like to say thank you especially to the Murat and Ramazan. But the person who stole our hearts was Milike. This girl is what sells this place alone. She bounded with our little girl immediately and if we could we would have taken her home. Every day she made us smile and she is really good at her job. All of them helped us with every little thing we needed and made us feel at home. Thank you guys for everything.

The Location was fantastic. Our room had the most amazing view of the Hagia Sofia . All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They were also very informative about the sights and arranging transportation. The breakfasts was great with fresh juices and pancakes. Watching the queues for the Basilica Cistern while sipping a cool drink at the terrace bar was a fun experience

With a location in the old city behind Hagia Sophia and directly across from the basilica cistern there can be no more central site in Istanbul. However, being in the historic centre prevents taxis reaching the front door. But they have a plan for that and the hotel staff meet you at the taxi and carry your bags the short way to the door. The rooms, whilst small, have all you need and are clean and well presented. The breakfast is exceptional and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
