Hotel Troya Balat

Spotlessly clean and distinctive rather than a standard hotel, with a 1930s vibe. Conveniently close to the T5 tram station. The bed was comfortable and the on-site restaurant is very good. Fener and Balat cafés and restaurants are within a five-minute walk.

Great location looking out to the Golden Horn, close to cafe's and restaurants plus the colourful houses. Public transport close by. Very vintage, which I loved and why I chose.. Mini fridge and coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast spread is similar to all Turkish breakfasts. The reception person was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location with a beautiful view of the Bospherous. Aircon working great especially in the summer heat. Hotel manager was most welcoming and accommodating. All round great experience.

Historical building renovated perfectly. Stairs are a bit steep for elder people and for those who have heavy luggages.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Troya Balat hOTEL - I felt like I was staying in a large, family house. TheTurkish family who own and work at the hotel were so friendly and the location is excellent - right on Fenner and Balat with lots of artisan coffee cafes! Nearby, is the tram and right opposite are the waters of the Golden Horn. I'm looking forward to returning soon.

We had a short overnight at this special older hotel . No elevator and beautiful curved staircases. Our suite faced the Bosphorus and although the bathroom is small it was very adequate. Staff is lovely and very accommodating. Good Turkish breakfast . Location is excellent .

The room was well appointed and lovely. It was very close to the heart of Balat (which I adored), the Bosphorus and the tram station…. and the staff were extremely kind, interesting and proud of their district. Especially Seminha! Love her! Oh! And the water pressure of the shower was surprisingly powerful!

Friendly staff, good breakfast, fine restaurant on premises. In the heart of the Fanar district, close to action. Recommended.

I really enjoyed this place, I had very cosy room with sea view, staff was nice and helped me with different requests and problems. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The location is also very comfortable. I would like to stay in this hotel again.
