The room was made up with fresh towels even though we were only staying for 2 nights. Able to leave luggage till later in day.

The room was cozy and nicely-proportioned. The bed is comfortable. The location is a convenient 10 min walk to the train station and 15 min walk to the city center.

Location. Breakfast.

Room was very comfortable, good location and nice breakfast

The hotel was in a perfect location, just outside the walls at Micklegate. The whole hotel was beautifully clean. Breakfast had an excellent variety, granola with all the extras was my favourite and my husband had the full English. There was also the usual, croissants, etc juices and hot drinks. Lovely pink plates and mugs which I appreciated. Friendly staff who worked really hard at breakfast, it was really busy. Managed to.park in the hotel car park which was really handy. However, the bedroom which was very nice with some lovely touches and furniture, was very dimly lit. There was lots of funky lights in the room but all very dim. Nothing over the desk/dressing table to help when drying my hair. We staying in room 126 which was about 2 foot away from a very high wall, no view and no natural light for the room. Also the air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy ALL night which drove me crazy. The bedding was a bit strange too. The bottom sheet was just wrapped around the mattress topper a bit annoying as it didn't stay put. I dis enjoy my two nights here and would come again but next time take my torch and ask for the AC to be duconnected!!!
