The Corbet Arms

The Corbet Arms is a family-run hotel beside the River Severn in the village of Uffington, a 5-minute drive from Shrewsbury. Attingham Park is 3 miles away, and Haughmond Hill and its abbey about a mile.

The bright rooms have a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, a dock for an iPod, air conditioning and a modern en suite, and some overlook the river. The restaurant serves home-cooked meals and wines, while the bar offers light snacks and cask ales. Meals can also be taken outdoors on the large terrace.

There is a garden, darts and free parking. It suits guests wanting a quiet riverside stay with Shrewsbury close by.
