The Railway Sleeper Lodge

The Railway Sleeper Lodge is a budget guest house on Bergholt Road in Colchester. Colchester’s main railway station is about a 5-minute walk away and the town centre a 5-minute drive, with the A12 and A120 close at hand.

The compact but well-equipped rooms all have an en suite bathroom, a microwave, a fridge, a hospitality tray, a Freeview TV, a hairdryer and an iron. There are no kitchen facilities; the microwave and fridge are meant for heating ready meals.

Self check-in is available around the clock, along with unlimited free WiFi and free on-site parking. It suits short stays, solo travellers, contractors and anyone arriving by train.
