Recently held a re-union at the Scott, which used to be our student hall of residence. Wow, the rooms have changed! Staff were super accommodating as we reminisced, tried to find our original rooms etc and went the extra mile to make it a special evening for us all!

The staff was super friendly! We brought our dog and they arranged for a room very close to a private exit into the garden, so it was convenient to walk her. Loved our stay, would definitly visit again!

Comfortable room and not too warm. Breakfast was a real treat. Location was good for walkers. Nice that Edinburgh is very dog friendly, taxis and most shops allow.

Rooms provide plush beds, spacious en-suite bathrooms, and thoughtful details designed for comfort. The Red Room stands out as a signature space, echoing the building’s history and inviting guests to experience a unique focal point of the property. On-site dining options and a welcoming lounge/bar provide convivial spaces for guests to unwind. The hotel offers free WiFi throughout and on-site private parking (reservation not possible). Check-in begins at 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. The maximum occupancy per room is 2 guests; there is no capacity for extra beds or cots. The Scott offers a quiet, stylish base for exploring Edinburgh’s historic center, with easy access to Holyrood Park and the city’s cultural treasures.
