Can’t beat the location, right in the heart of South Queensferry. Lovely local pub with decent pub grub and great staff. The room was huge, well decorated, comfy bed and absolutely stunning views over the 3 bridges. Really handy private car park to the rear. Anyone moaning about the noise - why stay in a pub? We enjoyed drinks until 1am downstairs and slept like babies. Would definitely return again.

I found the Stag Head Hotel to be a nice surprise. It was half the price of hotels in or around Edinburgh. From the description on the website it sounded like it would be a bit dodgy with warnings about noise from the pub downstairs but it exceeded my expectations! The hotel is right on the main street of the pleasant little village of Queensferry, right on the Firth of Forth. I found it quiet and easy to access my room, which was on the second floor. My window overlooked the bakery next door which was an excellent place to have breakfast. The room had twin beds and was very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom ensuite. I didn't eat there but the pub downstairs was cozy with friendly staff and locals. Its also super easy to get to the airport from there on the bus or by car since you can bypass downtown Edinburgh.

South Queensferry is charming and friendly. Has an old world feel. The hotel is well located and an easy taxi ride to the airport.

Stunning views from the bedroom window. Close all amenities in South Queensferry and to bus stops for travel into Edinburgh.

Location on the waterfront, comfortable beds, easy walk to shopping and dining, free parking

Friendly staff. Nicki, Louise, Ayisha and Stephen were are very kind and helpful. Close to Stockbridge, cafes and bars. On the bus route. Quiet. Room was lovely and very clean.

The inn is a historic property and it was cool to stay in it. Very friendly and competent staff. View of the water from the top floor was phenomenal and I loved the location. Good value for the cost. Comfy bed!
