The Vanguard York – Private Residence

Great location and nice room.

Amazing property. Good location and easy to get into York.

This is my second stay here and would recommend this as a great base to explore York. Close to city centre snd the Minster. Self check in, nice and easy with good communication from staff. Parking on the road and two off road spots, permit needed but arranged by owners and a lot cheaper than the car park. Car felt safe there. Room spotless and well equipped, great shower and toiletries. Coffee machine & fridge a nice bonus. Will be back for visit number 3!

Very comfortable beds and excellent service 👌

Room was great, & included tea/coffee facilities which we did not expect

All good, thank you!

Not far from the minster and city centre. Everything you need is there and security is good. Would stay again York has so much to see and do.

Nice comfortable bed and room

We've had an amazing stay in The Vanguard York! A week before our arrival, we received all check-in instructions and more via WhatsApp. After our arrival, the owner send us another text asking if everything was okay. We really appreciated that! The shower was amazing, it was clean, you could make tea, coffee or hot chcolate and there was a hair dryer to use. Also a TV with Netflix! The hotel was near the city center

Bathroom is super nice The room itself is hotel quality Great stay

The room is great and good value.

It was clean, and the shower and bathroom were a great size. Tea and coffee supplied with a kettle also with a small fridge which is a great touch. Easy access into the house and your room, using a card entry system similar to what you would find in most hotels. Comfy bed and was very quiet through the night on our stay which was a Saturday night and fully booked. I would suggest using the car parking booking system that's offered as it's a lot cheaper than the car parks around York.

bathroom, water in fridge

Wonderfully clean comfortable room and super comfy bed. The bathroom was really luxurious - loved the decor, the shower, the built in shelf in the shower and the clever lighting. The toiletries smelled wonderful! It was amazing to have air conditioning in the room during this hot spell. The host got in touch to check if we needed anything which was really nice. It was well worth requesting a parking space at the property even though it cost a bit extra. Thank you!

Great stay close to city centre. Nice modern bathroom. All the facilities were great.

The location was brilliant. The bed was comfortable & the Shower was fabulous. The AC was an added bonus & the fridge, as it was very humid weather.

Very spacious, clean and walking distance from the city walls.
