Wheatlands Lodge Hotel

Lovely hotel 20 min walk to centre Clean Friendly staff

Great Location for walking into the centre. Very good breakfast and staff were all lovely and welcoming.

Had a couple nights away with my son. For a twin room it was huge!! Great size en suite Great location. Walking distance to the city centre. The staff were very welcoming and very friendly. Good breakfast too. Great value for money

Only a 10 minute walk to city centre Few car parks around to choose from

The building is beautiful and well maintained. The gardens are cared for and it made a real treat sitting out just watching the world go by. We liked the bay window in our room and the bar is welcoming and warm.

Breakfasts superb, location perfect, staff overwhelmingly kind, bright, affable and helpful.

Very comfortable bed, clean and tidy, bathroom a tad small. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location...good breakfast...a little bit old fashioned but cute anyway. We could park for free in the street.

Excellent location, friendly staff and parking.

This is our second stay in this lovely hotel which is perfectly positioned when visiting York . There is a warm welcome from reception on arrival and a we were given a very good complementary coffee and a biscuit. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the table serviced breakfast is excellent. The staff are very friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable about the area . We will definitely be back next year. Thank you.

The breakfast and the staff were amazing. So organised and thorough. Food was lovely. Location brilliant for a walk into York.

Great location, friendly staff

The personal has been very kind and the price was good.

Absolutely love the hotel style. Very cosy and welcoming, far more preferable than a boutique hotel. Lucky to have garden view with very large window. If it was summer would have definitely sat outside. Amazing value for money, free parking and breakfast included. Will recommend to my friends. Ideal for longer stay and brilliant location

Friendliness of all staff. Breakfast was fresh and piping hot.

The hotel is situated on a lovely street, and has a beautiful garden out front with plants and statues, a seating area and well maintained lawn. Breakfast is included (though I missed it due to wanting to sleep.) The gentleman at the desk was so friendly, even drawing a map for me and giving me multiple numbers for local taxi firms. The place isn’t modern and sterile. It’s comfy and traditional. The bar is decorated with Laurel And Hardy memorabilia, which is very fun. The TV worked well and the wi-fi was fast. The beds are medium firm and the pillows too, which is how I like it. And my stay was very cheap also! I will definitely stay here again when I’m in York.

Spacious room, helpful staff, good breakfast.
