Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel was in a great location — about five minutes walk from Princes’ Street, three minutes from the Playhouse and the downtown mall. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Location was amazing, in a quiet neighborhood with lots of great little bar/restaurants nearby. Easy to walk to all the main attractions. The best was Claire at the front desk - loved her!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The comfort, cleanliness and location of the hotel is really good.

Quiet location in the centre of the city yet it was only a 2 block walk to the bus station, 1.5 blocks to the tram and 10min walk to the train.

The service was great and the location was perfect. I loved the feeling of old world with real keys to the rooms. Good bed and nice and quiet.

very clean comfortable room no breakfast but free snacks in the lobby

Claire was excellent with great customer service. The hotel is well located to get trams and restaurants.

Good location and architecture. Beware of carrying luggage up old stairs. Extremely comfy bedding.

Great location handy to tram stop and all Ednidburgh attractions

The location was good and we could walk everywhere that we wanted. The hotel was old and had a lot of character.
