I loved the design of the hotel. Everything was very well thought out — like the snack cupboard, I loved that feature. The hotel bar was a nice place to sit and have a cocktail. I liked that It was walkable to the main attractions of York. I did get a deep tissue massage at the spa by Sophie while there and that was such a treat and definitely helped my aches and pains!

Gorgeous room - we loved all the little touches including the vinyl player, dolls house tea point and access to the pantry! Great options for breakfast and the staff are really attentive and friendly. We arrived after getting married and they brought us up a bottle of fizz which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. A super cute and quirky hotel and would love to come back.

It really was a truly wonderful stay. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The room was incredibly comfortable and cozy and had really sweet homey touches. They grabbed our bags from the train station which was a great touch. We got dessert and decaf one night at the Pearly Cow which is attached to the stay and it was really wonderful too! Highly recommend! Wish we could’ve had more time there.

The staff at the Front Desk, Susanne and Ellie were Fantastic. We were upgraded to a large Guestroom and we are grateful for that kind gesture. Great comfy bed with high-quality sheets and pillows. Very nice bathroom. The location is great as well, only a 15-minute walk to the York Minster. Btw, the Minster was one of our highlights of our visit to England, it has so many interesting features, including the restored the Great East Window, which is a masterpiece. We had a tour given by Melvyn Woodcock and he was Outstanding. Don't miss the statue of Constatine right next to the Minster. We also enjoyed the restaurant onsite at the hotel called the Pearly Cow. We both had the Hazelnut crusted halibut and it was really special. Also, the front desk staff loaned us a G-plug converter to USB so we could charge our devices.

Toys and bed were set up with care for our toddler. The complimentary snacks, sodas, milk, popcorn and pastry were so appreciated. Our toddler was given an instax camera for use one day and the staff was incredibly accommodating. Restaurant was delicious and the children's menu was perfect.
