Thanington hotel

Thanington Hotel is a small hotel in an 18th-century building on Wincheap in Canterbury. The town centre and the cathedral are roughly 15 minutes on foot, as is the Marlowe Theatre.

Rooms keep much of their period detail and have an en suite, a flat-screen TV and a desk. Guests can use an indoor pool and spa facilities, sit in the courtyard rose garden or relax in the small bar. Each morning brings a buffet breakfast with continental and cooked choices, and WiFi is free.

Free parking is limited and allocated on arrival, and the station is close by. With family rooms too, it suits visitors who want to see Canterbury on foot.
