Location perfect for easy walk or bus into city centre. Beautiful property, plenty of parking. Breakfast delivered to room at time of choice, options & quality of food fantastic. Staff all very friendly- rooms cleaned/tidied daily. Lots of tea/coffee cafetière provided.
Super comfortable! Good communication with owners before stay! Lovely place!!
The room was comfortable with great amenities and always clean! The breakfast every morning was great and always so punctual, and delivered with such friendliness from the host, it made the experience so enjoyable and welcoming!
The breakfast was brilliant. The place is charming and is well looked after.
Quiet, hot shower, comfortable bed.
Dorstan was the perfect antidote to the bustle of old town. It was so nice to come back to our quiet neighborhood after a day of touring. Richard was very kind and accommodating and the breakfasts were outstanding! So comfy and sweet.
Bus stop was very close. Very nice owner, lovely breakfast in our room. We got all we needed.
Lovely room, excellent breakfast. Beautiful home. Helpful host. Easy to bus to old town. Restaurants in easy walking distance. Squeaky clean.
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was very secure, as we needed codes to get into the main door and then into our room, which were sent in an email. We never saw any staff, which would have been nice as we had some questions about the area we wanted answered. But all in all, it was within walking distance of a few restaurants and was a pleasant, quiet place. The takeaway breakfast was so-so but nice since we had to leave earlier than breakfast was served (8:00, which is a bit late if you want to get going). I’d recommend staying here again.
The room and all facilities were just as described and had everything I needed. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The bed was really comfy too. Location was excellent as it only took 2-3 minutes to get to the bus stop for a bus into central Edinburgh.
Very comfortable and well sized room. Free parking available, which was very helpful so close to Edinburgh. A good continental breakfast served to the room.
Lots of space Comfortable beds Very good breakfast
The location was excellent, far enough from the city centre but close enough to walk. It was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and right on time. Plenty of coffee and tea in the room, which was spacious and clean.
Comfortable bed and bedding. Very clean. Breakfast was delicious.
Cute old house in a quiet neighborhood. Bus station is just a short walk to the main street. Very easy and convenient access with coded doors, no keys needed. My bathroom 'across the hallway' was just one door over so very close. The room has a sink which makes it more convenient to get ready. Richard always had a smile on his face when bringing the breakfast tray up every morning and it was delicious and prepared with love. They made the bed every day and were very responsive to my inquiries.
Really convenient, easy low contact check in and out. Real coffee in the rooms was a stroke of genius!
Quiet, simple, clean, easy to use as a base. Breakfast! Excellent choices, delivered cheerfully to my room at the time I chose. Best morning coffee set-up: individual French press, real ground coffee, sealed containers of real milk. Everything about my tiny room was thoughtfully designed: shower was great, bed comfy, reading light above the bed just right. Security reassuring.
We had a lovely 3 night stay. Our room was on the ground floor, so no stairs to climb. There is no lift in the building. Well maintained building and facilities. Located in a nice area, only 150 metres to Edinburghs' excellent public transport. 5.50 GBP for an all day ticket. Hosts, Richard And Maki were good hosts, a limited continental breakfast was included and delivered to our door at our requested time. This delivery was the only time that direct personal contact was made. Most communication was effectively made through the Booking messaging option in the app. Replies from Richard were prompt and helpful. Access was via door lock codes supplied via the Booking app.
Beautiful Building and entrance hall
Large room. Comfortable bed. Easy bus to town.
