Things to Do in Antalya: Tours & Activities

Antalya rewards anyone who leaves the sun lounger for a day. The old town of Kaleiçi, the Düden and Manavgat waterfalls and the cable car up to Tünektepe all fit into a single city tour, while the Roman cities of Perge, Aspendos and Side make an easy day out along the coast. With an early start, the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis are within reach on a guided day trip too.

On the water, the favourite is Suluada, an island nicknamed "Turkey's Maldives" for its clear turquoise sea. Boat trips from Antalya and Kemer usually include lunch, swimming stops and, in many cases, hotel pick-up. For something livelier there is white-water rafting in the Köprülü Canyon, jeep safaris in the Taurus foothills and scuba diving, and families can fill a day at the aquarium or at The Land of Legends theme park and its evening show.
