Priyanka 8.0

The hotel is clean and is in a good location. There was an awful smell coming from the loo on my first day, but it was fixed as soon as I mentioned it to the owner. The staff are very very nice and helpful. The only downside is that the wifi connection in the hotel wasn't the strongest. I travelled to Istanbul for work and I was unable to make any zoom calls. But overall, I had a good stay. I'm rating it as 8 (extra 1) for the stuff as they were very nice.

Mehwish 9.0

It was a good property nice staff

Jelena 9.0

Great accommodation, just like the pictures. The location is excellent, close to the central part of the city and the most important attractions. Public transportation is relatively close, 10 minutes on foot from the accommodation. Wifi was great.

The staff were very helping, our room was on the top most floor and they helped us carry our luggage to our rooms . They even provided us a VIP transfer to the airport (paid ofc). Over all enjoyed my stay and it was comfy :).

Isa 8.0

Responsive communication from the start, all enquiries were promptly answered. Friendly staff who were very accommodating - assisted us in all our needs. Even thought they don't speak English, the staff had a way to communicate clearly to us.

Valeriia 8.0

Decent small hotel, I’ve got a nice big room, clean, the hotel staff is nice and helpful.

Alla 9.0

The host allowed me to choose the room and take the one I preferred. Also staff was very helpfull to arrange the taxi. My room had a fridge of good size, not a small minibar size. Tea kettle, tea and water were available for use. Conditioner works properly.

Herminio 9.0

The room was very clean and we had all that we needed!! If i return to Istanbul I will repeat…Sure!

About This Hotel

Nestled in the historic Fatih district of Istanbul, Sultanahmet Coskun Hotel offers a compact and intimate base for travelers eager to explore the city on foot. The building sits among narrow lanes and traditional facades, placing you in the heart of the city’s most storied quarter. From the moment you step outside, you are immersed in a living museum of architecture, mosques and ancient walls, with a pace that suits curious visitors who want to feel connected to everyday Istanbul life while having quick access to the highlights. The hotel has a central position that is one of its strongest assets. It sits within easy reach of three emblematic attractions: the Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern, each about 1.6 kilometers away, and the Column of Constantine less than a kilometer from the door. For visitors starting the day with a culture fix, the walk to these sites is feasible, and mid morning you can return to the hotel for a brief rest before venturing out again to discover more of the Old City. There are 12 rooms in total, giving the property a boutique feel without compromising on essential comfort. The photo gallery suggests a range of layouts including spaces that combine sleeping areas with a sitting area and a television. Some rooms include a balcony or terrace, offering city views and a place to sip coffee while watching the street life below. Even if you favor compact accommodation, you can expect a well organized space that maximizes natural light and makes good use of the city panorama. Food and drink details are not listed on site, so plan for meals nearby or check for in house options during your stay. The Fatih district is known for its diverse culinary scene, from traditional Turkish breakfast corners to casual eateries serving kebabs, meze and fresh pastries. After a day of sightseeing, you can explore a variety of options within strolling distance, or simply enjoy a leisurely Turkish meal in a neighborhood that feels authentic rather than tourist focused. Family friendly policies add value for guests traveling with children. The hotel welcomes children of any age and the maximum occupancy is four guests per room. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots, so families should book the right room size in advance. The property also offers reliable WiFi in all areas at no extra cost, which helps families stay connected for maps, entertainment and planning the next day adventures. Check in begins at midday and check out is by 11:00, which keeps the day flowing smoothly for most travelers. The smaller size of the property can translate into attentive service from staff who are familiar with Istanbul historic corridors. Guests often appreciate the personal touch that comes with a boutique style property, where staff can offer practical tips on navigating the neighborhood, public transport and local markets. On the practical side, there is no mention of an on site pool or beach facility in the listing. This is common for central Istanbul properties focused on sightseeing value. The hotel’s strength lies in location, ease of access and the chance to unwind in a comfortable room after a day spent exploring the mosques, cisterns and ancient walls. The Kumkapı area around the building blends living history with contemporary city life, providing a sense of local culture alongside the major landmarks. Who is Sultanahmet Coskun Hotel ideal for? It is a smart choice for history enthusiasts who want a central address in Istanbul without paying premium rates for a larger hotel. It also suits budget minded travelers who value clean, simple accommodation in a walkable neighborhood, and for families seeking a straightforward base with flexible access to major sights. First time visitors will appreciate the ability to plan day trips with minimal transit and still experience the authentic rhythm of Istanbul life. Ultimately, the hotel serves as a practical launchpad for a rich Istanbul itinerary. From the doorstep you can begin days filled with mosques, ancient cisterns and markets, then return to a comfortable, quiet room to recharge. The surrounding Fatih district offers a tapestry of experiences that enrich every stay, making Sultanahmet Coskun Hotel a reliable choice for travelers who want to blend culture, convenience, and a touch of local flavor in equal measure.
