Well restored Ottoman house with comfortable rooms. Great breakfast with French press coffee. The bar and courtyard cafe were well patronised by locals and a source of entertainment but not too noisy. Good location walking distance to main sites.

Location is just inside the old city, and is convenient on foot to all of the main Bursa sights (you absolutely do not want to drive between sights). The restaurant in the courtyard is atmospheric and the food is excellent--feels like another time and place.

This lovely boutique hotel is situated in a restored historical building and is lovely decorated with different antique furniture and accessories. The feeling is really as if you are travelling back in time and history. The people are amazing-so friendly, kind and always ready to solve any problem! Great location - quiet surroundings, nice view and so close to the historic centre.

We had a beautifully designed hotel room in an Ottoman-style house with an epic view on the entire city. It is located close to the silk market (recommend to visit). The hotel has a beautiful, scenic backyard to relax, eat in the restaurant and enjoy the amazing (!) breakfast they offer in the morning. Very friendly staff and very clean room and bathroom.

A magic place. The garden is a true oasis. The rooms have an old style charm that makes you forget you are in the 21st century.

What a superb and characterful place to stay in lovely Bursa. A former book shop, the hotel twists around a central stair case with a great garden or breakfast and. drinks. Lunch and dinner is also rather wonderful and out of the ordinary. We took a room with its own hammam and of course it wasn't cheap, but you can't put a price on bliss. And the host and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Just brow is the great mosque and the covered bazaar. What fun!!

my 3rd time there. it was great as usual. terrific location, super helpful, friendly staff and lovely boutique hotel with beautifully furnished rooms and spectacular views over the old city and the great Ulu Camii.

Kitapevi was the most charming boutique hotel we had ever stayed in Turkey. As soon as we stepped in, we got dragged into the magic of this historical Ottoman house. Mr Harun welcomed us in such a warm way and accommodated my mother’s knee problem in the most generous way of offering a suite on the entrance floor free of charge. A beautiful man indeed. Mr Kılıç gave us a great help with all the luggage and finally Mr Murat made us feel like we were visiting an old friend with a genuine kind heart who we had reunited after a long time. And the breakfast, you need to experience it! Thanks to Ms Mizgin and Mr Furkan :) Kitapevi will be our home in Bursa.

A lovely 200 year old property with antiques and interiors that fit the era. A large room with a comfortable bed. It was in a very convenient location to all the main sites.

Helle 10.0

Great historical place, with nice and helpful staff, a wonderful back garden, very good food, excellent breakfast, and an extra bonus was free pick-up from the bus station

Leticia 10.0

Location, breakfasts and breakfast team! We’re walkers so everything we wanted to experience was within walking distance. The historical value of this property is well preserved. We liked the daily water availability and comfy slippers. And wow, they prepared a To Go breakfast since we had a very early flight out from IST. Thank U!!

About This Hotel

Kitapevi Hotel in Bursa stands out for its graceful fusion of Ottoman civilian architecture with modern comfort. The building itself tells a subtle story of Bursa’s layered history, while the interiors offer a refined, contemporary feel. Expect traditional architectural details that are thoughtfully paired with practical amenities like free WiFi throughout the property. The result is a boutique stay that feels intimate and authentic rather than generic. Set in a quiet Bursa neighborhood, the property is anchored by a charming address at Kavakli Mah Burcustu Sok No 21. The nine rooms are arranged within a compact, exquisitely kept house that rewards guests with a calm atmosphere after a day of exploring Bursa’s charms. From certain rooms guests glimpse garden views that bring a touch of countryside tranquillity to the center of a bustling city. The on site spaces are designed for relaxed living, with comfortable seating areas and easy conversations in the living rooms that feel like a private guest lounge. When it comes to water oriented leisure the listing does not feature an on site pool or beach. Instead Kitapevi Hotel leans on outdoor greenery and intimate spaces to unwind. Guests can wander the courtyard garden or linger in the cozy public areas. The setting is ideal for slow mornings over coffee, quiet afternoons with a good book, and evenings spent listening to the soft rhythm of Bursa life. For guests who prize privacy and a sense of place, this is a destination that invites you to slow down and breathe. The rooms blend comfort with a nod to history. Each of the nine accommodations offers a warm, inviting atmosphere where traditional motifs sit alongside contemporary conveniences. Expect well chosen beds and seating areas that encourage restful nights and easy evenings. The bathrooms and other private spaces are kept clean and functional, with an emphasis on calm, uncluttered lines. The hotel’s design respects its building’s heritage while integrating modern amenities that today’s travelers expect. Food and drink play a thoughtful role here. An on site restaurant and places to eat provide meals and breakfast options in a setting that complements the design led character of the hotel. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes and a curated selection of drinks, including alcoholic options, in a relaxed atmosphere. The absence of an oversized dining complex is replaced by a warm, human scale dining experience where staff remember guests and preferences. Whether you start the day with a hearty morning meal or retreat in the evening for a light bite and a glass of something refreshing, the culinary rhythm suits both couples and families. Family friendliness is a clear focus without sacrificing elegance. The property accepts children of any age and is configured to accommodate up to four guests in total. There is a single cot allowance and a maximum of one extra bed, so families can choose a comfortable arrangement that suits their needs. The policy also makes clear that some charges apply for older children when using existing beds or extra beds, and that children aged 18 and over are treated as adults for pricing. This small size of the hotel supports personalized service and attentive, discreet hospitality. Relaxation and wellness appear in the details rather than as a large spa complex. The photos reveal elements such as a steam room and public bath, suggesting quiet spaces for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The hotel emphasizes a tranquil atmosphere, with garden spaces, tasteful decorative details, and nooks where guests can unwind. Low key evenings in the living spaces are complemented by easy access to free WiFi, so you can plan tomorrow’s discoveries or simply share a moment from your Bursa stay. Who this hotel is ideal for is clear. It is perfect for couples seeking a boutique, design led stay with a strong sense of place. It suits travelers who value friendly, attentive service and a calm, intimate environment. Families with children who are comfortable with a small, cozy property will also feel welcomed and accommodated. If you want to immerse yourself in Bursa’s character while enjoying modern comfort and a refined, personal touch, Kitapevi Hotel is a memorable choice.
