I stayed for two nights at Marlow Lodge in Blackpool, and had a wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better,it’s just a short walk from the Pleasure Beach, South Pier, and the Promenade, making it ideal for exploring all that Blackpool has to offer. The ensuite room was clean, comfortable, and come with kettle, tea/ Coffee. Our room was cosy; perfect after a day of sightseeing. The décor is neat and well-kept, giving the place a welcoming, homely feel. What really stood out, though, were the hosts (Kath & Rick), I received a welcome message the day before checking in regarding the arrangement. Kath was genuinely friendly and gave few suggestions about places to eat and visit. Overall, Marlow Lodge is a fantastic choice for families looking for good value, comfort, and great service in Blackpool. I’d definitely stay again ♥️

About This Hotel

Marlow Lodge is a welcoming family run guest house in Blackpool’s South Shore. Located at 76 Station Road, the property places guests within a short stroll of the coast, just 200 metres from the seafront. This proximity to the sea is a clear benefit for holidaymakers who want to make the most of long days on the beach and breezy evenings along the promenade. The lodge’s compact size and hands on, family style service add to the feeling of a traditional seaside stay, where personal touches matter as much as practical comfort. The neighbourhood around Marlow Lodge is all about easy access to the beach and the lively energy of Blackpool. Guests can leave their accommodation and be on the promenade in minutes, where you can enjoy a classic seaside atmosphere, lively bars and cafes, and the sense of space that comes with a long black blue horizon. For travelers who value convenience, walking distance to the sea means more time exploring and less time commuting. The property itself is designed to be a simple, comfortable base for a family break, a weekend with friends, or a short coastal escape. Room comfort is the core of the Marlow Lodge experience. The hotel comprises 13 rooms, and the visual presentation in the photo collection emphasizes well maintained sleeping spaces and clean bathrooms. Several images highlight beds that look comfortable and inviting, including configurations that accommodate families through options like bunk beds in suitable rooms. While the data does not detail every amenity room by room, the overall impression is one of practical accommodation designed for restful nights after days spent enjoying the seaside. Expect regular features you associate with a guest house of this size, with an emphasis on a cozy, homey feel rather than oversized hotel luxury. Information about dining is not listed in detail for Marlow Lodge. The property page does not specifically outline on site meals or a restaurant, so guests planning a full board experience should verify what is offered directly with the lodge. This approach is typical for smaller family owned properties where breakfast might be informal or flexible, and where nearby options can supplement the stay. For guests with particular dietary needs or schedules, it is wise to confirm breakfast or meal arrangements before arrival to ensure a smooth start to each day. A key highlight for families is the policy framework surrounding children and spaces. The lodge welcomes children and notes a maximum occupancy of five guests in total. There is specific guidance about children staying with existing beds, with the potential for up to four children aged 2 to 15 to stay free under certain bed arrangements. It is important for guests to understand these conditions when planning a stay with kids, as the hotel specifies that there is no capacity for additional cots or extra beds. This clarity helps families budget accurately and choose room configurations that suit their needs while staying within the property policy. For those seeking relaxation and practical convenience, Marlow Lodge offers free WiFi across all areas, which is a definite plus for modern travelers who need to stay connected. The inclusion of free wireless access is a meaningful perk when planning a beach holiday that blends screen time with sun time. In addition, there is on site private parking available, though reservation is not possible and the cost is GBP 5 per day. This arrangement supports guests who are driving to Blackpool and want a straightforward parking solution close to the property. From a wellness and entertainment perspective, the property does not list on site facilities such as a pool, spa, or formal entertainment programs. Instead, the appeal lies in the simplicity of the seaside location, the ease of access to the beach and promenade, and the ability to unwind in a modest, family friendly setting after a day by the water. Guests who prefer a low key, no fuss environment will appreciate the straightforward approach and the focus on essential comforts rather than resort style amenities. Who is Marlow Lodge ideal for? It suits travelers who want a central base near the sea without high price tags or high maintenance expectations. It is well suited to families seeking a practical, friendly place with clear policies that help plan a budget and schedule. It also works for couples or small groups who value a short walk to the beach, easy WiFi connectivity, and a quiet, unpretentious atmosphere. For visitors who prioritize proximity to the coast, straightforward accommodation, and a personal touch from a family run operation, Marlow Lodge offers a reliable option in Blackpool’s South Shore. In short, Marlow Lodge delivers a traditional seaside stay built on location, simplicity, and a welcoming atmosphere. It is designed for guests who want to be close to the sea, enjoy comfortable rooms, and rely on clear policies to guide their travel plans. If you are seeking a budget friendly base from which to explore Blackpool and spend time on the beach, this lodge presents a solid, authentic option that keeps the focus on the essentials that holidaymakers value.
