Guest Reviews
Despite the fact that Inverness isn’t a particularly large city, I was glad to have a BnB so close to the city center, yet not directly in it. The house is warm and inviting, very Scottish, and very well tended. The room was perfectly sized and offered everything one could wish for. Breakfast was exceptional, and I daresay I may have gained a few pounds from Chrystal’s delicious cooking. It was always a pleasure to come back in the evenings to a warm hearth and a friendly face and I felt right at home. The family are very knowledgeable about the area and it was a pleasure chatting about all things Scotland.
She directed us to the most wonderful night in Inverness!
Christa welcomed us warmly and with delightful stories to help us park. The room upstairs is so nicely furnished and stocked. The breakfast was filling and tasty. It was a friendly atmosphere with the other guests. Love the hallway decor and overall vibe.
You fill at home !! Wonderfull location .very friendly family . Very good breakfast !!
This is an exceptional property and our host was amazing. The attention to every detail was what stood out on this property. From the point of our initial welcoming to the exceptional breakfast, we felt very comfortable at this location.
This is the cutest cottage - so comfortable for our family to come back to after long days of exploration. Close and easily walkable to the city center for our tours starting points. Christa was wonderful and we couldn’t be more happy with our stay! Would book again in a heartbeat!
Friendly people, convenient and quiet location. Had everything we needed. We were quite comfy!
Short distance from the centre of Inverness, 5 min walk. Excellent breakfast.
Hands down the best stay of our entire trip in the U.K. This little cottage is absolutely amazing! It is super comfortable with every tiny little amenity you can image from Egyptian cotton towels to heated floors, cute dishware and wonderfully scented bathroom soap! It was also a convenient walk to downtown Inverness and not too far from the train station!
Everything!
Amazing cottage, extremely well stocked, everything worked well, and the hostess was most gracious.
Location, parking, cleanliness and breakfast.
A perfect location for a short stroll to the city centre. We had a lovely welcome and the room was ideal, very clean and lots of little touches to make us feel at home. The beds were comfortable, and we had a delicious breakfast before we left. We would highly recommend Corunna and hope to return!
Everything was perfect! The breakfast was amazing and I would especially like to emphasize the super soft towels :) The host was super friendly aswell!
Everything! Very nice and comfortable. The hosts are super nice, the breakfast is the best, the location is close to the city center and easy to reach. Thank you!
The hostess ensured that our stay was comfortable.
Fantastic breakfast, position top, peace, relax, everything is perfect here
The property was super cute and had everything we needed for a one-night stay before jumping off into the Isle of Skye. Everything was clean and the host was flexible about breakfast options when we needed to leave early in the morning (we got a to-go bag). The host also provided us with a discount card to a local restaurant (Encore en Foie) which we enjoyed. It was about a 15-20 min walk to the city center. I would recommend staying here if you’re in Inverness!
Great space, very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchens are up to date and spacious. Bed and bath linens were fantastic!
Short walk to pubs, restaurants and downtown. Super clean, quaint, and comfortable! Would recommend 100%

The address at 16 Glenurquhart Road places you in a central yet relaxed area, making it simple to begin day trips or to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The proximity to Loch Ness means you can choose scenic drives and walks during the day and return to a cozy, homely atmosphere in the evening. The surrounding area is well suited to pairs and small groups who value a calm setting from which to enjoy Highland scenery and local village life. Outside, the property feels welcoming and garden oriented. Several photos in the listing highlight the garden and outdoor seating areas, suggesting pleasant spots for morning coffee, a relaxed afternoon read, or an easy stroll among greenery. The Garden Cottage component of the property adds an extra layer of charm, promising a quiet outdoor outlook and a sense of being close to nature while staying in a traditional home. The garden setting helps create a sense of space and privacy, which many travelers look for when they want a break from busy city life. Inside, the five rooms are designed to offer simple, comfortable accommodation. The house sustains its Victorian architectural feel, with the kind of solid, stone construction that many travelers associate with longevity and character. Guests can expect warm, practical interiors that prioritize comfort and rest after long days of exploring the Highlands. The property benefits from modern essentials like free WiFi and the reliability that comes with a well managed B and B, making it easy to check maps, plan routes, or share travel updates with family and friends while away from home. Food and drink are central to the B and B experience here. As a traditional bed and breakfast, Corunna provides breakfast on site, with the option of a buffet style start on some days as reflected by the photos and dining notes in the listing. The presence of dining spaces in the property photos signals a dedicated area where guests can enjoy a hearty morning meal before setting out to discover the region. The emphasis on on site dining means guests can begin their day without the hassle of hunting for places to eat first thing in the morning, a convenience that many travelers value when planning busy sightseeing itineraries. Family friendly considerations are clearly stated in the listing policies. The property welcomes children but with some limits: there is no capacity for extra beds or cots, and only children aged eight and older are allowed. There is no age restriction for check in, which provides flexibility for different travel schedules. The maximum occupancy per booking is four guests, which makes Corunna a good choice for small families or groups who want a comfortable, intimate setting. Pets are not allowed, a detail that some travelers appreciate when seeking a calm, predictable environment. Free private parking is available onsite, and guests do not need to reserve a space in advance, a practical perk for those who plan to explore the wider region by car. In terms of relaxation and entertainment, the garden atmosphere offers a tranquil retreat after days on the road. The quiet ambience, combined with reliable wireless access, means guests can unwind with a book, catch up on emails, or plan the next day’s excursions from the comfort of a cozy Highland home. While the listing does not indicate an on site spa or pool, the overall setting – a traditional stone house with a green garden and a comfortable five room layout – appeals to travelers seeking a classic, low key stay that prioritizes rest, access to nature, and straightforward convenience. Who is Corunna ideal for? It suits travelers who want easy reach of Loch Ness with a traditional Scottish ambience. It works well for couples and small groups looking for a quaint, character filled stay with thoughtful essentials like free WiFi and onsite parking. The five rooms and garden cottage add a touch of countryside charm that regular hotel chains may lack, while the proximity to the famous lake makes daily excursions straightforward. Those who value a quieter pace, friendly local hospitality, and a well maintained home base from which to explore the Highlands will find Corunna a compelling option. For families, the policy protecting young children and the shared spaces offer a comfortable setting for older children and teenagers, while adults will appreciate the calm, easygoing atmosphere. Overall Corunna provides a dependable, personal alternative to larger hotels, delivering comfortable rooms, a warm welcome, and a genuine Highlands experience.
