Location and top hospitality. I didn't feel well enough for breakfast on New year's day morning ( too many drinkies on new year's eve!!!) My husband went down for breakfast and asked if he could take me up a piece of toast. The owners made me up a lovely tray of toast, white bread and brown and a selection of jams, marmalade and a pot of fresh coffee. WE WILL BE BACK. Thank you.
Fabulous location, very clean room and great hosts - can't fault it

Good value and location was great
This was the 4th time at the cavendish with sue and John, like before it was a great stay, we were in room one, so we didn’t have to climb all the way to the top which pleased my partner, breakfast was great as always, definitely return it was a great stay as always
Excellent location next to the beach and harbour, and all of Weymouth attractions such as restaurants, shops and theatre. John and Sue were amazing, accommodating my request for an early light breakfast and time to shower after the run before checking out. Our room was on the second floor with views of the bay. There was everything we needed.
Helpful owners very good breakfast with good coffee and oj
Superb location, beautiful views
Very lovely stay, excellent breakfast and very kind thank you!
A very warm, clean, and homely B&B with everything that you would possibly need for a short stay. The full English breakfast was delicious and cooked to my liking, you won't go home feeling hungry. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. It's also only a couple of minutes' walk to the Pavilion and the main town.
Very comfortable and spotlessly clean
The location was excellent between the beach and the harbour. The whole place was spotless and had well equipped en-suite bedrooms, a TV and tea making facilities
About This Hotel
Cavendish House sits right on the Weymouth seafront, a beachfront bed and breakfast that puts you within steps of the sand. Located on The Esplanade, the property is just 90 metres from Weymouth Beach and offers sea and river views that set the scene for a relaxing coastal break. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, helping you stay connected while you unwind to the sound of the waves. With ten guest rooms Cavendish House invites couples and adult travellers to enjoy a simple, intimate stay by the shore. The official policy highlights that the maximum occupancy is two guests per room and that no extra beds or cots are provided. Children aged 16 and older are welcome, which makes this an ideal choice for quieter escapes rather than family holidays with small children. Breakfast is part of the bed and breakfast experience, giving you a convenient start to days of coastal exploring. The menu is not listed here but the property’s description confirms a breakfast service as part of the stay. In addition to morning meals, some rooms appear to offer coffee and tea facilities based on the photos, a small touch that adds everyday comfort to your stay. On the doorstep you find Weymouth Beach stretching along the promenade with calm shallow shores ideal for sunrise strolls or family afternoons. The setting is enhanced by river views, and many guests appreciate the sense of being close to both the sea and the town’s waterfront attractions. While Cavendish House does not advertise a pool, guests benefit from the sea front location and easy access to the sand and sea. Exploring the area is straightforward from this Weymouth address. The property is in easy reach of Portland Castle and Monkey World, with the latter about 25 kilometres away, offering opportunities for day trips and family outings. The Esplanade location also puts you near shops, cafés and seafront entertainment that make evenings by the water memorable. Parking is available nearby, with public spaces costing around GBP 18.30 per day and reservations not possible. This is a practical detail for guests travelling by car and helps plan your stay alongside the walkway and harbour views. Public WiFi in the building keeps you connected if you want to browse local tips or share your holiday moments. Split stays or longer visits are easy thanks to flexible check in and check out windows. Check in runs from 14:00 to 19:00 and check out is between 09:30 and 10:00, offering a relaxed rhythm for seaside days. The property operates without a curfew policy, giving you freedom to come and go during your stay. Who is Cavendish House ideal for? This is a strong choice for couples seeking a calm seaside retreat and travelers who value location and breakfast over a more formal hotel experience. The peaceful setting, direct beach access and sea views appeal to guests who want to wake up to the sound of waves and stroll along the esplanade. It is also well suited to adults looking for a simple, intimate stay with reliable amenities and friendly service. In summary Cavendish House offers a straightforward, coastal escape with a prime beachfront location in Weymouth. It combines sea and river views with a comfortable, compact lodging option. If you crave easy access to the beach, a generous breakfast, and a friendly, adult oriented atmosphere, this property fits the bill.
