Our second stay here and just as good as the first time. Friendly owners and staff who make you feel welcome, in a spotless hotel with attention to small details.... and always a great breakfast.

Excellent breakfast lovely fresh fruit and daily specials. Fresh milk and water changed daily comfy beds. Tim, Teresa and staff very friendly. 15 minute walk to town.

Great breakfast, friendly hosts, honesty bar, quality furnishings throughout the property, location, parking on site or free roadside.

The decor was absolutely lovely. The attention to detail was second to none.

Cosy and all we needed

The breakfasts were lovely plenty to choose from, amazing scrambled eggs. Tim and Teresa were perfect host's nothing was too much trouble.

We loved our mini break at Oaklands. Teresa and Tim were welcoming hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were superb. Nothing was too much trouble and there was plenty of information on where to eat and visit. Highly recommended

A property has been designed by an individual who has travelled a lot - and hence all the little things that are so important to making you feel at home and comfortable in your stay are covered - for instance not only sockets by the bed but USB A and USBC! The contemporary design of the place is lovely with quirky individual decor. The host are very friendly and welcoming providing a great map of the area and recommendations of where to eat. The breakfast is fabulous - and I particularly liked the daily special. This place is better than many hotels we have stayed in - and would be an absolute first choice if we were in the area again.

Modern, clean, tasteful design

Beautiful guest house. We stayed on the ground floor in a lovely bedroom with a huge fabulous ensuite. Decorated with lovely pieces. Very clean & bed so comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious- cooked to perfection. Our hosts were so friendly also. Little walk to the beach. Good location.

Our stay at Tim and Teresa’s guest house was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and cared for – they are absolutely amazing hosts. The guest house itself is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The level of attention they give to their guests is outstanding. We were in town for the Ironman event, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs – from preparing special meals to offering an early breakfast so we could start the day right. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was perfect – delicious, well-presented, and with great options, including some lovely special orders tailored to our needs. Every aspect of our stay was just excellent, and it’s clear that Tim and Teresa genuinely care about creating the best possible experience for their guests. We will absolutely be back – this place is a true gem in every way!

Everything was exceptional... From the moment we arrived we were made to feel right at home! Our room was impeccable with lovely modern but contemporary decor. They have thought of everything. Breakfast was fantastic and to my surprise they had put on an Ironman specific breakfast for those of us braving the conditions early that day! I can't thank Tim and Teresa enough for our lovely stay. Highly recommended

Accommodation and breakfast good, but location was a good 15 minute walk to the facilities.

Interesting history and beautiful inside and out

Everything, from the greeting with Tim all was very good, rooms were to a very high standard and bathrooms had everything that was needed even the toilet rolls were excellent quality. The breakfast was superb and again quality was excellent, location is a 15-20 minute walk into town along the seafront.
