Guest Reviews
Beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and were very helpful when traffic caused my arrival to be slightly later than planned. I would visit again in a heartbeat if I needed to visit Birmingham or the surrounding areas.
Breakfast - excellent!! Hosts outstanding. Did exactly what I wanted.
The people who run this place was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the owners was so nice. Great sleep and very comfortable and was nice and reakaxing. Would definitely would stop there again.
Friendliness and comfortable room. Lovely and enjoyable stay
Quiet location but close to NEC
Nice looking property, well kept quite location
Friendly and as advertided. Amazing breakfast cooked to order using excellent produce.
Found it a very tastefully done up place, good size room with all I needed including a mini fridge. The small jar of ground coffee and mini French press alongside the kettle in the room were very welcomed. There's a comfy lounge room full of plants on the ground floor where one might be so lucky as to meet the friendly and very well behaved family dog. Owners Terry and Katherine are very accommodating and happy to help. Property is very conveniently located, with the train station for the city center just few minutes walk from the property and buses for the airport nearby. Cannot comment on the breakfast as I opted out of it, by the spread seemed very decent
Easily accessible, private parking, friendly hosts, room was warm and comfortable and had everything I needed.
Welcomed on arrival, nice bathroom, nice room. Clean sheets and everything you would need in a room.
Everything. Especially the staff, communication and hospitality.
1) I was met by Mr. Terry, who has been an Excellent Host. He gave me all the Necessary Instructions including - how to use the allocated keys, the Free Wifi password (which worked very well) and took down and even remembered my breakfast choices. He also very kindly, carried my suitcase up two flights of stairs. 2) - The room and attached bathroom were very Clean. I had, in my room, access to a double bed, and 2 single beds. The TV and other equipment was also working well. 3) - Mr. Terry made my breakfast, which was a typical vegetarian English breakfast - hence everything was hot and fresh.
Friendly helpful hosts. Very clean room that had better facilities than most rooms in this price bracket. There was a fridge that would have been useful on a longer stay, and most unusually a cafetiere and ground coffee in addition to the usual coffee tray. The inclusion of green tea was thoughtful. The bed was very comfortable, and with two doors between me and the stairs it was quiet. It is conveniently located for Acocks Green train station for travelling into Birmingham city centre, and there are late-night convenience shops and take-aways nearby. I can recommend Big John's for a kebab and chips. Good food at a reasonable price.
It was very well maintained, with nice unpretentious but pretty decor. Very clean. My room was simply decorated, with everything you need for a one night stay, including a very good hairdryer and extremely comfortable bed!
The hotel is situated on a quiet road. The room was clean with lovely white bedding and the bathroom had toiletries ready to use. The hosts Terry and Katherine were really helpful and friendly, both before arrival answering a couple of questions, and on arrival and during the stay. There is parking off the road on the hotel grounds and the gate is locked but accessible for guests. They were able to accommodate gluten free requests for breakfast and even had gluten free arrival biscuits to go with the ones in the room. This was a lovely touch as so often those needing a special diet are left out. The breakfast is cooked to order ranging from cereals, fruit, full English or a combination of eggs, bacon and salmon. Pretty much anything you ask for they can offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return here if we are in the area again.
Warm welcome, good off road parking. Clean and comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast with a lot of choices, juices, coffees, croissant, bagel with smoked salmon cooked breakfast, served on terrace overlooking garden.
ROOM CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. VERY WELCOMING HOSTS.
Lovely and clean
Staff were extremely friendly and kind! Room was clean and comfortable and just what I needed!
The highlight of this guest house is the host - Katherine and Terry go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. They also provided us with a fan as the weather became warmer. There is a guest kitchen with a fridge, toaster, cooker etc. They even generously let us stay on past the check out time as we had a wedding to get to
