Very nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable.

Claire 9.0

Lovely room with a view over the street. The most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve had in ages. Great location - you can walk to town or the train station. Taxi office over the road. I stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time.

Goldbloom 8.0

Fairly close to the promenade and a decent pub

Gareth 9.0

Great location, close to the beach front. Clean and quiet room with plenty of facilities. Hosts were amazing and they couldn't do more to help. I drive a large pickup truck so parking is always an issue but the owners moved their own vehicle to make space for me.

The hotel was a nice budget stay, only 10 mins walk from the beach. They have a single room with the bathroom, which is very convenient as a solo traveller.

Daniel 8.0

Very good price, cheapest in Torquay by far. About a 10 minute walk from the beach and the town centre/shops (although it's up hill). And 15 minutes from the train station. Bed was very comfy. And came with a (small) fridge. Was a very quiet in the room. TV, although small, did it's job. The host (can't remember his name) was very nice. Pubs and corner shops within a minute walk.

It offers a welcoming, personal approach that reflects its family heritage and a genuine desire to make your stay easy and enjoyable. The location puts you within easy reach of Torquay’s best attractions: you are close to the shops along Belgrave Road, the sandy beach is a short stroll away, and the theatre scene comes alive across the town each season. For guests who enjoy active days, the International Riviera Centre, local tennis clubs and nearby bowling greens provide convenient recreational options. With eight rooms, the property keeps a comfortable, intimate atmosphere that is increasingly rare in large chain hotels. The Trouville sits at 70 Belgrave Road, placing you right in the heart of a central, convenient area. After a day spent exploring shops or strolling along the seafront, you can return to this small guest house and feel the relaxed pace that makes Torquay so appealing. The central setting ensures that you can plan your breaks and excursions with ease, whether you are diving into a theatre night or simply enjoying a seaside wander. Many guests appreciate the option of room with a view. Several rooms at The Trouville are designed to offer pleasant views of the sea and the coastline. While not every guest room may feature a window to the water, the property as a whole reflects a marine ambience through its bright, simple interiors and thoughtful layout. The dining area, shown in guest photos, creates a welcoming place to chat with fellow travellers over a casual meal or a light snack, without the formality of larger hotels. With eight rooms in total, The Trouville balances independence with the comfort that comes from a family run operation. Rooms are straightforward and comfortably appointed, focusing on restful sleep and practical convenience. The personal touch of a locally owned property shines through in attentive, informal service and a hands on approach from the hosts. This is an ideal base for travellers who want a simple, effective stay rather than the bells and whistles of a large resort. Interior spaces maintain a tidy, cared for appearance, with practical touches that make daily life a breeze. The on site dining area, visible in guest images, supports relaxed meals and easy social moments with fellow travellers. The combination of compact bedrooms, a welcoming common area and efficient service creates a home away from home where you can unwind after a day by the coast and prepare for the next adventure. Food and beverage options are presented through the on site dining space seen in photos. While detailed meal schedules are not listed here, guests can expect a simple, friendly dining experience within the building. The proximity to Torquay’s eateries also means you can easily find a place to dine out and enjoy local cuisine after a day by the sea. If you prefer a quiet night in, the dining area provides a relaxed setting to plan tomorrow’s itinerary or to reflect on the day. The Trouville maintains a clear family friendly policy that keeps things uncomplicated for guests. The property welcomes children older than five, and the maximum occupancy is four guests. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots, and the minimum age for check in is 18. Pets are not allowed, which helps keep noise levels low and the environment comfortable for all guests. This makes The Trouville an excellent choice for small families or couples who want a straightforward, value driven stay in a central location. WiFi is available in some rooms and is free of charge, helping guests stay connected while on the go. Free public parking is possible nearby, though reservations are not possible, which gives you the freedom to plan spontaneous day trips without worrying about parking constraints. These practical details add to the sense that The Trouville is a well run, easy base from which to explore Torquay. When you step out, you will find that Torquay is extremely walkable. The Trouville’s location means you can reach the theatre venues, the shops and the coastline with minimal fuss. The Riviera Centre nearby offers additional leisure options, making it simple to tailor each day to your mood. The intimate size of the property fosters friendly interactions with hosts and fellow travellers, a feature that many guests remember as a highlight of their stay. This hotel is ideal for travellers who value location and a human touch over large scale facilities. It appeals to couples seeking a convenient seaside base and to families with older children who want straightforward, affordable accommodation within a short walk of the beach and town amenities. For guests who arrive by car, the nearby parking and easy access to Belgrave Road make sightseeing and day trips straightforward and enjoyable.
