Guest Reviews
Excellent location city centre close to everything !! Not noisy even in that local. Quaint decor good facilities...
General vibe; nicely refurbished
Henrys was a great place to stay. Well located with a great restaurant next door. It was close to shopping centres and the theatre. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. It was well priced in comparison to others around it.
The room was sizable with a separate living and sleeping areas. It was also located very close to the centre of Oxford town. The furnishing was modern and everything functioned well - good heating, large TV, fridge, safe. Amenities were offered in a modernised bathroom - shampoo, soap, shower gel, lotion etc.
The location is excellent. The room is tastefully decorated.
Location, location, location! Quirky apartment, which was perfect for a couple of nights.
The quality of fit and the style of the apartment.
Great location, excellent communication, clean and has everything u need
The location is close to everything you need and far away from the noisy crowd Room is spacious The owner paid attention to all the details
Great location, nice looking and spacious room with a nice bathroom. Check-in was complicated by a delayed return of the previous guest but was nicely handled by staff.
Excellent location Lovely ambience Clean Comfy
Location was excellent and owner provided good info to access premises
Great location for bars, shopping, theatre, easy self check in/out. Clean and tidy room with character. We stayed on a Saturday night so it was a little noisy still when we went to bed but I sleep with ear plugs so didn't bother me.
The location of Henry's cannot be beaten. It is on a quiet street but right in the middle of everything in Oxford. I was attending a summit at the university and it was the perfect place for my stay. It was like having a little apartment with everything I needed and extremely well located for a quick walk to everywhere I needed to go. When other people were taking ubers in from their hotel I could just run back to the room for a few minutes during breaks throughout the day. Also, breakfast and brunch at the Handle Bar next door was incredible. Go early before the lines start.
Brilliant location for sightseeing, shopping vicinity to the train station and extremely clean. Apartment very comfortable, especially the king size bed. Large bathroom with powerful shower.
The property was beautiful and amazingly located! Really lovely place that we would definitely return too! Great decor, lovely layout and really nicely thought out.
About This Hotel
Henry’s is a compact, characterful option in Oxford’s historic city centre. With just three guest rooms, this boutique property offers an intimate atmosphere that appeals to travelers who want to immerse themselves in the city rather than stay in a large hotel. The building sits on 26 St. Michael’s Street, placing guests in the heart of the action while remaining within easy reach of the city’s most famous spots. Location and surroundings: Henry’s sits in central Oxford near the scenic university colleges and a ten minute walk from the rail station. In the surrounding streets you will find a lively mix of cafés, restaurants and shops that bring Oxford to life at any hour. It is easy to orient yourself here when you are visiting the Bodleian Library, wandering the historic lanes, or taking a quiet afternoon to admire the colleges that have shaped generations of scholars. Beach and pool experience note: This is a city centre base focused on convenient access to Oxford’s cultural and academic landmarks. The listing does not feature a seaside beach or resort style pool on site. Guests who are drawn to a city break will value the location for day trips, museums and the university precincts, and evenings spent exploring local dining options. Rooms and renovation details: The listing indicates three guest rooms designed to offer practical comfort. Photos highlight a comfortable bed as the centerpiece of each room, along with elements such as a living room or seating area. While there is no detailed renovation history provided, the property presents a tidy, well kept interior that supports a restful stay after busy days of sightseeing or meetings. The emphasis is on sensible, home like comfort rather than opulent decoration, making it easy to settle in after a day in the city. The room setup and design choices reflect a balance of privacy and social space, so guests can retreat to a quiet corner or enjoy a shared seating area if travelling with a companion. Food and beverage options: Henry’s offers in room coffee and tea facilities as part of the guest experience. In addition to in room provisions, central Oxford means there are numerous cafés and eateries within easy reach, allowing guests to tailor meals to their itinerary and mood. While the property does not announce on site dining venues, the area provides a thriving food scene just steps away. Family friendliness and activities: The hotel’s policies indicate that children are not allowed and the maximum occupancy per room is two guests. Check in is open for adults aged 18 and over. The intimate scale of Henry’s makes it an ideal base for couples or solo travelers who enjoy a quiet, efficient stay while exploring the city. Oxford offers plenty of day trip opportunities and cultural attractions beyond the hotel walls, making it easy to fill downtime with discoveries. Relaxation, wellness, and entertainment: The property does not advertise extensive wellness facilities. The appeal lies in a calm, intimate environment in the heart of a city known for its scholarly heritage. A strong wireless connection supports work or streaming, and the surrounding historic streets offer relaxed entertainment and culture after a day of discovery. Who this hotel is ideal for: Henry’s suits adults seeking a central Oxford base with easy access to university life and historic sights. Its practical amenities, including free WiFi and in room coffee and tea facilities, support both leisure and business travelers. The policy of two guests per room and age restrictions clarify that it is best for couples or solo travelers who value location, atmosphere and straightforward comfort over resort style facilities. In short, Henry’s provides a compact, authentic Oxford experience for guests who want to be in the middle of the action while enjoying a personal, well run home away from home.
