Soğanlı Valley Balloon Flight with up to 16 Passengers

If you are looking for something different from the busy mornings over Göreme, this Soğanlı Valley balloon flight is worth a look. Soğanlı is one of Cappadocia's newer flying areas, where there are usually 10 to 12 balloons in the air at the same time rather than hundreds.

A more personal flight

Each balloon carries no more than 16 passengers, so you have more room in the basket and it is easier to talk to the pilot. Experienced pilots and the events before and after the flight make the whole morning memorable.

The morning programme

Pickup follows the sunrise and ranges from 03:15 to 07:00 depending on the season. The drive to Soğanlı Valley in the company's vehicles takes about 50 minutes. You have a light breakfast before take-off, then fly for around 45 minutes; the duration may vary by about 10 minutes with the wind and weather. After landing there is a celebration with champagne, and you receive a medal and a flight certificate.

Pickup area

Pickup and drop-off from hotels in Nevşehir, Ürgüp, Göreme, Uçhisar, Avanos, Ortahisar, Çavuşin and Mustafapaşa are included, as are all fees and taxes. A selfie stick, flight video or photos and tips are extra.

Good to know

The flight is not recommended for travellers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnant travellers, and it depends on the weather. Because the morning starts very early, we suggest an early night beforehand and a warm jacket.
