Every traveller landing in Antalya asks the same first question: how do I get to my hotel? The airport is close to the city, but the resorts are spread along more than a hundred kilometres of coast. You can reach Lara in 20 minutes, while Kaş can take three hours. This Antalya airport transfer guide brings together distances, drive times, your options and what to check when you book.
Distances and drive times by area
The times below are approximate for a private vehicle in normal traffic. They can be longer at busy times in summer and when a vehicle stops at several resorts.
- Lara: about 15 km, 20 minutes. Lara transfer
- Antalya city and Konyaaltı: 15–25 km, 25–40 minutes. Antalya transfer

- Beldibi: about 45 km, 45–50 minutes. Beldibi transfer

Your transfer options
Private transfer
The vehicle is yours alone. Your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign, helps with your luggage and drives straight to your hotel. With no stops at other resorts, it is the quickest way. If your flight is delayed, the pick-up time follows your flight details. It is the most comfortable option for families with children, late arrivals and larger groups.
Shared shuttle
Passengers heading to the same area share a minibus that drops at each hotel in turn. It can work out cheaper per person, but waiting for other passengers’ flights and the extra stops can make the journey noticeably longer, especially to far-off areas such as Alanya and Kemer.
Taxi and public transport
There is a taxi rank at the airport and taxis run on the meter. City buses and airport buses also serve the centre, but they are not practical with large suitcases or for reaching resort hotels. They can suit solo travellers with light luggage going a short distance.
What to check when you book
- Flight number: book the transfer with your flight number so delays and early landings are tracked.
- Passengers and luggage: the vehicle size depends on these. Mention bulky items such as golf bags or pushchairs in advance.
- Child seats: request them when you book if you are travelling with young children.
- Return pick-up: aim to be at the airport at least three hours before an international departure, and plan your pick-up time from far-off areas accordingly.
- Night arrivals: after midnight, a pre-booked transfer is far more relaxing than queueing for a taxi.
Getting the transfer as part of a package
Return airport transfers are included in our holiday packages and are arranged automatically around your flight times. When you build your own holiday, صمّم رحلتك lets you add the transfer alongside your flight and hotel. If you only need a transfer, every route is listed on our Antalya Airport transfers page.
Flying into Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport
If you are staying in or east of Alanya, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is closer, about 40 km from central Alanya. It has fewer flights, so choice is more limited. Transfers run from there to Alanya, Side, Belek and Lara: see Gazipaşa to Alanya.
Tips for a smooth arrival
Keep your hotel’s address and phone number to hand, in case your phone battery runs low after the flight. Switch on mobile data or connect to the airport Wi-Fi as soon as you land so your driver can reach you. If you are travelling with children, pack water and a small snack for the drive, especially to Alanya, Kaş or Kalkan. In summer, ask for the air conditioning to be switched on before loading the luggage; the car park can be very hot in the afternoon.
Notes by area
Kemer and Beldibi: the road winds along a scenic coast between the mountains and the sea, and traffic can build up on summer evenings. Belek: known for its golf courses and large resorts, the hotels are spread over a wide area, and a private transfer drops you right at the door. Side: some streets around the ancient town and old peninsula are closed to traffic, so check with your hotel where vehicles can stop. Alanya: many hotels line the long coastal road, so give the full hotel name and neighbourhood to avoid confusion. Kaş and Kalkan: part of the road is winding; if you are prone to car sickness, ask for a front seat and a short break in advance.
Travellers with reduced mobility
If you use a wheelchair or need extra assistance, mention it when you book so a suitable vehicle and help can be arranged. Assistance inside the airport itself should be requested from your airline before you fly.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Booking without a flight number, so the driver cannot follow a delay.
- Leaving too little time for the return pick-up; airport queues can be long in summer.
- Under-declaring luggage, so it does not fit in a smaller car.
- Forgetting how long a shared shuttle takes to far-off areas; the stops can add up to an hour.
The bottom line
Choosing the right Antalya airport transfer makes the first and last hours of your holiday easier. For nearby areas such as Lara and the city centre, almost any option works. For Kemer, Side, Alanya and Kaş, a private transfer timed to your flight makes a real difference in time and comfort.
