Duke Of Wellington Inn

Duke Of Wellington Inn is an ivy-covered traditional inn on West Lane in Danby, North Yorkshire. Being near Whitby, it is a good starting point for the North York Moors and the coast.

The building dates from 1732 and was used to recruit soldiers in the Napoleonic Wars. Restoration has updated the facilities while keeping its old-inn character. There is a fireplace in the bar, a restaurant, a shared lounge and a terrace, and special diets and packed lunches can be requested.

Free WiFi and parking are available, and pet bowls are provided. Darts and occasional live music are on offer. With walking, cycling and fishing nearby, it suits an outdoor break.
