Sutherland House

Sutherland House is an adults-only restaurant with rooms on the High Street in Southwold, the Suffolk seaside town, in a building counted among the town’s oldest. Southwold Pier is a ten-minute walk along the promenade, and the Adnams Brewery three minutes on foot.

Victorian and Georgian furnishings frame contemporary rooms, each with a TV and a private bathroom with toiletries. The restaurant’s menu centres on fresh fish and local ingredients. WiFi is free.

Breakfast is optional: a text on the afternoon of arrival lets guests pick a time and reserve a table. The property is non-smoking throughout. Suits couples looking for a food-led break by the sea.
