Loved decor of the bedroom. Staff very helpful and went above and beyond when I left my keys in room after check out.

Easy to find great welcome so will return. Nice room over carpark so felt secure for that too. Weather was to poor to use balcony but there's always next time..... Breakfast was fab to so will try dinner next Bears every where a marvellous theme

Our room was away from the noisier areas, was quiet and comfortable.

Location was excellent. There was also a bus stop right outside. Lovely atmosphere and very busy in the evenings. Staff very helpful. Rooms very large.

The Bear is a gem located in the lovely Bear Flat area not too far from the center of town. Tom, the manager, was very welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. The room was spacious and clean. While The Bear is next to a busy road the windows were properly insulated and you couldn't hear a sound. We have stayed in many hotel rooms around the world and felt this was definitely one of the better ones. The breakfast was good quality as well as the dinner. As a result we didn't even bother to go out for dinner in (the touristy part of) town. Just keep in mind that Bath is hilly and the walk up from the train station to The Bear is steep. If you are carrying heavy luggage, take the bus (bus stop in front of hotel) or a taxi. PS The Good Bear Cafe (not related to The Bear as far as I am aware of) is just a stroll away from The Bear and a nice place for lunch or just a latte.

Very friendly staff, easy access (by car) into the Bath city centre, great food and nice decor of the spacious rooms.

Food and accomodation excellent, breakfast really good and bar food very tasty, Staff were really friendly and welcoming. We couldn't fault it would definitely stay there again.

A charming place with everything you could ask for. First-rate room with en suite bath and soaking tub. The pub was busy and lively, with good, fresh food and a warm ambience. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The lady at the reception was so lovely. The property was amazing, we especially loved the vintage style shower.
