The Crown Inn Hotel

The Crown Inn Hotel, run by a family, is a historic inn with a restaurant on Hall Street in Long Melford, Suffolk, north of Sudbury. The building dates from 1610.

Original details survive, including Tudor-era cellars and exposed beams. The well-equipped en suite bedrooms each have a flat-screen TV. Modern British dishes are served at midday and in the evening, and in summer drinks and meals can be enjoyed in the courtyard garden. A terrace and packed lunches are also available.

Parking and family rooms are available, and WiFi is provided. Its spot in the middle of Long Melford’s high street suits couples exploring Sudbury and the surrounding Suffolk villages.
