A small and charming hotel with a limited number of rooms. Pros: 1. Location: There’s a supermarket, cafés, and restaurants nearby (we highly recommend Blue Bottle, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel). It’s about a 20–25-minute walk to the main attractions. 2. Cleanliness and bed linens. 3. Friendly staff. 4. Airport transfer options

Great location on a relatively quiet street and with lots of shops and places to eat close by. Close to the main attractions but far enough away so that the neighbourhood was cheaper and the prices weren't hiked for tourists. Hotel was cute and comfortable. Lovely staff and the room was very well cleaned every day. Big comfy bed and lots of good nights' sleep.

We had an amazing four nights at April Sorry Apart hotel. We were on a budget so we stayed in the basic room but it exceeded our expectations. Our bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and pillows were super nice. The room also came with a kettle for tea, along with basic kitchen appliances making it possible to make some food if needed. The bathroom was very clean as well which was a plus. The location of the hotel is near many affordable restaurants and there were so many cute cats outside of the hotel that we fed every night. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and always made time to chat or give us a ton of extra tea (we loved the tea there). We are extremely grateful to the staff for their kindness and hospitality and will definitely be back here next time we are in Istanbul!

I stayed in triple room. It was really nice, cozy and clean. Ali, Posaad and their sister are really welcoming and forthcoming. They are really helpful. Ali helped us with certain minor things which made our stay more comfortable. I would definitely come and stay on same place on next visit to Istanbul. RECOMMENDED

Arif 9.0

The area is very safe and peaceful, making it ideal for staying with the family. Just one street behind, there is a lively shopping street with cafés, restaurants, and shops that stay open late into the evening. You'll also find many charming and cozy cafés and restaurants in the narrow surrounding streets. The distance to the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque is easily walkable — about a 15-minute walk. Ali en Pusat were very kind and helpful. Thanks for everything.

Ayyam 10.0

The service was fantastic, great support and help. Went above and beyond. Amazing location and fair prices. Lots to do and easy to get anywhere by taxi.

About This Hotel

April Story Apart Hotel sits in the heart of Istanbul’s historic Fatih district, a peaceful address that still keeps you within easy reach of the city’s most famous wonders. The property is located on Sehsuvarbey Mah Isin Sok No:16, Fatih, a short walk from atmospheric streets, cafes, and small shops that line the way to Istanbul’s legendary sights. From here you can measure your day in steps to the Blue Mosque, about 1.3 kilometers away, and the Basilica Cistern, roughly 1.4 kilometers away. The setting promises a genuine city experience, where traditional life and contemporary comfort meet in a compact, friendly package. Location and surroundings are at the core of this boutique stay. The building offers a garden and garden view, a feature that invites guests to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment amid greenery after long days of exploration. The Fatih neighborhood is steeped in history, with centuries of architecture, markets, and street life that give visitors a real sense of Istanbul’s roots. The hotel’s central yet calm position means guests can easily slip into the rhythm of the old town while still being within reach of modern conveniences and transport options for broader city adventures. This is not advertised as a beach or resort property. Instead the appeal lies in its intimate garden setting and proximity to major historic landmarks. Guests seeking a seaside escape or poolside relaxation will want to plan those experiences separately, while those who crave easy access to ancient mosques, grand cisterns, and lively neighborhood streets will find this stay perfectly suited to a city break in Istanbul. Rooms here are designed to deliver practical comfort in a modest, well kept environment. The hotel comprises 14 rooms, each arranged to maximize usable space without sacrificing comfort. The photos show thoughtful touches such as a kitchen or kitchenette in many units, which is especially convenient for families or guests staying longer than a few days. A seating area or dining space appears in several layouts, alongside a wardrobe and air conditioning in various rooms. The overall impression is of clean, straightforward accommodation that prioritizes functionality and ease for daily Istanbul sightseeing. While renovations are not detailed in the data, the sense from the room design is one of modern practicality and clarity rather than novelty alone, offering a comfortable home base for exploration. For those who enjoy self catering or simply the convenience of a kitchenette, the ability to prepare light meals or hot drinks in your room adds flexibility to the stay. Public areas and rooms are equipped with reliable connectivity, as free WiFi is available across the property. Entertainment basics appear to include a TV in the room, and photos emphasize a tidy, comfortable living space with a focus on restful sleep after a day on your feet. The beds look welcoming in the imagery, and the overall tone is one of unfussy comfort designed to support a busy travel itinerary. Food and beverage options are presented as part of a practical city stay. The presence of a restaurant or dining area is suggested by the photos and labeling, with breakfast noted among the images. This indicates a simple, on site dining option that suits guests who prefer to start their day with a meal before heading out to the city’s attractions. In addition to on site dining, the kitchenette options within rooms offer a level of flexibility for guests who want to dine in or prepare light snacks after a day of sightseeing. The combination of a dedicated eating space and kitchenette facilities is especially appealing to families and groups seeking flexibility and value during their Istanbul visit. Family friendliness is an important part of the property’s profile. The maximum occupancy per unit is four guests, and the policies outline clear guidance on children and beds. Children aged 3 and older are welcome, while there is no capacity for extra beds or cots in the rooms. The policy also notes that up to three children aged from 3 to 10 may stay for free when using existing beds, which can help families manage costs. For guests with young children, these rules enable upfront planning and help ensure accurate pricing. The check in and check out times are practical for travelers who want to optimize their sightseeing schedule, with check in from 14:00 to 21:00 and check out by 11:00. The minimum age for check in is 18, and there is a clear stance on pets and curfews with pets not allowed and no curfew, giving guests the freedom to tailor their stay to their plans. Relaxation and subtle entertainment come from the garden space itself. A quiet outdoor area, garden view rooms, and comfortable seating provide a welcome retreat after a day spent navigating Istanbul’s historic lanes. The garden setting also serves as a pleasant backdrop for small conversations after meals or a peaceful morning coffee before stepping out to explore. This property’s strength lies in its ability to deliver a calm, intimate environment within a bustling city, rather than large resort style facilities. It invites guests to slow down, observe the neighborhood buzz, and savor a genuine Istanbul experience rather than a destination built around high end amenities. Who is this hotel ideal for? It is a smart choice for culture lovers who want to stand in the footsteps of empires and mosques, couples seeking a simple, intimate base with garden views, and small families looking for practical, affordable accommodation in a great location. If you value direct access to the historic core, dependable WiFi, and straightforward room layouts that can comfortably accommodate a family of up to four, this hotel ticks those boxes. English speaking staff and friendly service further support a smooth stay, especially for guests visiting Istanbul for the first time. In all, April Story Apart Hotel offers a compact yet welcoming home base in a superb historic setting. Its garden facing quiet ambiance paired with proximity to major sights, a practical kitchenette option, and flexible occupancy policies makes it a sensible choice for travelers who want to immerse themselves in Istanbul’s unique blend of history and everyday life while keeping comforts simple and laid back.
