Guest Reviews
The location is really good, although not in center of old town, it has parking and easily walkable to center. The house is cozy and lovely, and the owner played Scottish music and talked about history daily in the evening.
Alan and staff were fantastic. They really make this feel like a b&b. The breakfast was lovely with lots of good options like cereal, cheese, mouseli, and biscuits. They also have Scottish music at night which was nice and you get to learn more about Edinburgh! This is a historic house which is a special experience and it means things are going to be a bit older. Not a negative but more for awareness. We loved having on site parking, seems to be rare. This place was an easy walk to many sight seeing options. Felt like a safe area.
The people are very nice and kind
Great localisation, walking distance to the city center and all main points, lots of restaurants nearby. Parking, small but You can park in the city center. Everybody was super nice and helpfull. Breakfast, tosts with butter and chese or jam plus coffe, not much, but very apreciated.
Music evening, Scottish cheddar for breakfast, very kind owner and staff
Clean, good breakfast, parking, fabulous location, friendly staff
Friendly staff, parking on site, great location to go on foot to the city center. Shops and restaurants around the corners. Exceptional well preserved house from 1760. Scottish music every night.
The size of the room was comfortable, the staff made the guest house feel like home, and the location was within walking distance (30-40 minutes) from all local attractions. The staff also suggested best places to visit which aided in deciding where to go. The breakfast choices whilst limited were sufficient.
Lovely evenings with Scottish music and pictures of Edinburgh and learnt some lovely facts about Scotland.
We had a big cosy room with comfortable beds for 3 in an well kept historical building. Everything was very clean. The staff was always very helpfull und friendly. Breakfast was toast, butter, cheese, jam, 5 kinds of cereal, Milka, tea, coffee, applejuice , fruits and cake. Everything you need to start the day. A busstop is near by, but citycenter is only 15-20 min walk away.
Great location close to bus routes or a 20 min walk to town. Very reasonable.
The location was great, close to festival events, meadows, shops and a wide range of restaurants. Live Scottish folks songs in the evening.
