Small hotel in the old town in the street where there is no traffic and cannot be approached by car, but during the night silence is broken only by the seagulls. The host Ali was very friendly and accommodating, he helped us with advice about the city tour and shopping, and he provided the car parking for us in a private yard 2 minutes from the hotel. We stayed 6 nights at the end of September and the night was the only time of the day we spent in the room during the Istanbul's stay. The room was on the second floor with the street view turned to the north, so that the sun was not heated, clean and equipped with what is most important, a bathroom, towels, toiletware, bed, refrigerator and water kettle. The cleaning of the room was every 2 days. Near the hotel there are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and shops with souvenirs, baklavas and lokums, but they are more expensive than on the outskirts or in the Asian part of Istanbul. All in all, a modest hotel, but it has everything for a pleasant stay, with excellent price and quality ratio, we really enjoyed a lot. Thank you Ali.

It's in a very convenient location! It's just a 10-minute walk from the beach and the Sultanahmet Mosque! The owner, Alibey, is a very nice person and is available 24/7 for assistance. It's the best place to choose for its location and price! I definitely recommend coming! P.S. There's a cafe for breakfast right outside the hotel! The prices are cheap!

The property was very well maintained, and the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. All the facilities listed were available and worked without any issues. The location was convenient, and the property manager was extremely helpful and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Everything, really everything. The bedroom is pretty spacious, the bed is super comfortable, bathroom is quite big, and there is a fridge and a machine to boil water inside the room, which is very convenient. Ali, the owner is very polite. He let me make the check in earlier and always is ready to help you as much as you need. The building is clean and it is located five minutes walking by Sultanahmet square where is everything. It was the best hotel where I stayed during my 2 months trip by Balcanes even considering other hotels were nice too. 5 starts to Ali.

If you are travelling on budget, Bereket hotel is an excellent option! The room was spacious and bright, the amenities we wanted were there (A/C, fridge, water cooker), bathroom clean and bed very comfortable. Wifi in the hotel room was excellent. The location is exceptional, 15 min walk to Blue mosque and hippodrome, with plenty of restaurans and shops around, and even a very nice hammam. Ali is perfect host! He is easy to communicate, very prompt on wapp and with good command of English. He helped us organize airport transfer that was very premium, comfortable and punctual. Also, he carried our luggage up the stairs (there is no lift in this small building) that we didn't need to worry. After some research, I have decided to purchase SIM card (30 GB) over Ali because it was affordable (esp. comparing to airport offer), he helped me to start it and card worked excellent (we used it for a week for 3 mobile phones and still not used it up). All in all, very good experience that I would like to do again and would certainly recommend :)

About This Hotel

Bereket Traveler Hotel sits in a quiet corner of the Sultanahmet district, a place where history fills the air and the cobblestones carry centuries of stories. Just a short stroll from Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern, the hotel is surrounded by the timeless charms of Istanbul’s old town. The location makes it easy to wander from breakfast into a morning of ancient monuments, then return for a sunset walk along nearby lanes that lead to inviting cafes and small shops. This is a neighborhood where you feel part of the city rather than merely passing through. The hotel itself is a small family run style property with 14 rooms. This intimate size helps create a warm, personal experience with friendly staff who can offer local tips. Free Wi Fi is available in all rooms, and air conditioning ensures comfort even during warmer days. The building provides a calm retreat after busy days of sightseeing, and many guests value the opportunity to rest in a peaceful base while exploring one of Istanbul’s most storied districts. While photography shows a range of spaces, the core appeal lies in the rooms themselves. Expect well arranged rooms designed for restful nights, with beds that look comfortable and practical layouts for easy living. The on site accommodations emphasize practical comfort over luxury, focusing on cleanliness, good light, and a thoughtful use of space. In short, this is a straightforward, well kept option in a sought after area where you can unwind between excursions. Food and drink options are represented in a few ways in the listings and imagery. The site suggests a dining presence and what appears to be buffet style breakfast offerings alongside coffee and tea facilities in rooms. Guests often appreciate having a simple breakfast option close at hand before a day of exploring. There are also plenty of nearby eateries within walking distance in this historic neighborhood, ranging from traditional Turkish fare to international choices. For many travelers this adds up to a convenient and flexible dining experience. Family friendliness is a notable strength here. The property welcomes children of any age and has policies in place to support family stays. The official guidance notes that all children are welcome, and there are details about cots and extra beds subject to availability. The maximum number of guests is three, with one extra bed available and one adult staying for a charge when using existing or extra beds. A 1 child rate applies for older children in specific configurations, and one child up to four years old can stay free when using existing beds. These options make a stay with kids practical and affordable. Check in is from 13 30 and check out is by 11 30 in the morning, with a late check in and late check out option possible according to policy. The hotel provides a simple, efficient approach to arrival and departure, which many travelers value when navigating city itineraries. The listing confirms Wi Fi is free in the rooms, making it easy to plan days on the go or unwind with a movie at the end of the day. This Bereket Traveler Hotel is ideal for travelers who want to be at the heart of Istanbul’s historic quarter without paying premium prices. It suits couples seeking a convenient hub for day trips, families exploring by foot, and solo travelers who prize location and value over luxury. If you prefer a quiet, authentic neighborhood base from which to discover ancient sights on foot or by tram, this could be your perfect starting point. Overall, the appeal lies in the combination of a peaceful setting, central location, simple comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. While the amenities are modest, the proximity to iconic landmarks, the ease of access to public transport, and the possibility of sharing a memorable Turkish experience with local hosts all contribute to a satisfying stay. This is a practical choice for travelers who value location, flexibility, and an honest price.
