Guest Reviews
Alan is a wonderful host. The hotel was lovely and met all our needs. I would definately go back.
What a place! If you’re looking for true English quintessence, this is it. I absolutely loved the décor. The room was huge, and the service—truly the best of the best. One of the best experiences we’ve had. If we’re ever back in Bournemouth, we will definitely book again! And not only 5 mins from the beach but dog friendly too !
Fabulous location and I love a cool old building. Very clean and the crowning glory, the fella at reception was absolutely phenomenal and such a lovely human.
Friendly people running the property. Very helpful. Good location, near the beach. Warm and comfortable.

Fantastic room size and very comfortable bed. Would definitely boom up again.
Great location - directly between the sea and O2 Academy, nice comfortable bed, unexpected sea view, friendly and welcoming host, free parking spot, great value for money.
I stayed here for four nights and had a very good experience overall. It’s a family-run hotel with a pleasant, clean and spacious room, and the sea view was a nice extra. The staff truly make this place exceptional, warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their helpfulness made the stay feel relaxed and personal. Parking on-site is a real advantage, especially in the area. The hotel is well-located and provides everything needed for a comfortable stay without any fuss. I would be happy to stay again and would recommend it to others looking for a reliable, well-kept place by the sea.
The staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. The surrounding area was nice and quiet all night which meant my daughter and I slept well, the comfortable beds helped too.

Pam, our host, was a delight! She is friendly, welcoming and knowledgable about the local area. She made us feel like we were on holiday and would stay here again. Closer to the sea than it looks on a map. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

About This Hotel
Denewood Hotel sits on Sea Road in Boscombe, a short stroll from the sparkling coast where Bournemouth’s famous beaches await. This three star property is compact and intimate, with only ten rooms, making it a straightforward and relaxed base for a seaside break. Guests who value a simple, well run stay close to the shore will find Denewood a dependable choice. The hotel’s position is its key highlight, combining the charm of a quiet beachfront area with easy access to the wider Bournemouth coastline. From the moment you arrive you are within easy reach of sea air and the promenade, while you can retreat to a calm, comfortable space inside when you prefer shelter from the elements. Inside the Denewood, rooms are described as bright and elegant with private bathrooms. The emphasis is on comfort and practicality rather than extravagance, which suits guests who want a tidy, well lit room to rest after a day by the sea. With ten rooms in the house, the layout feels manageable and personal, and the design concentrates on efficient use of space and natural light. The guest experience benefits from essential hotel features such as free WiFi throughout the property and on site parking, making arrivals and day trips smooth and stress free. The property’s service approach is underscored by guest reviews that highlight its friendly staff and convenient location, reinforcing its appeal for travelers who value reliability and value. Location is Denewood’s strongest selling point. The hotel is ideally placed for those who want to spend a day on the beach or simply walk along the coast before returning to base for a cup of tea in the peace of the Boscombe neighbourhood. The immediate surroundings offer a seaside vibe with vibrant access to the waterfront, while the wider Bournemouth area provides additional dining and entertainment options within easy reach. Guests should expect a straightforward travel experience here: a quiet, approachable setting a short distance from the sea, with the reassurance that the essentials are well cared for and easy to access. The rooms at Denewood are designed for restful nights after busy days of sightseeing or sunbathing. Bright lighting and clean lines help create an uplifting ambiance, while private bathrooms add convenience and privacy for couples, solo travelers, or small families. The property’s renovation details are not specified, but the emphasis remains on comfort and function, ensuring guests can settle in quickly and feel at home. For those who travel with family, the hotel’s smaller scale often means a more personal touch from staff and a calmer atmosphere compared with larger resorts. The rooms are arranged to make efficient use of space while still offering enough room to unwind with ease after a day by the sea. When it comes to meals and beverages, the available information focuses on the basics rather than a full dining offering on site. The data does not list an on site restaurant or bar, so guests should anticipate exploring nearby options in Boscombe or Bournemouth for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What can be relied on is the hotel’s practical approach to hosting: guests can recharge in a comfortable sleeping area after a day by the water, and there is flexibility around check in and check out to fit a beach day schedule. The policy framework supports this practical approach as well, with a check in window from 14 00 to 19 00 and a check out by 10 30. A credit card is required to guarantee bookings, adding a layer of predictability to the planning process. Denewood is welcoming to families and guests with children. The property allows children of any age, and there are detailed guidelines about cots and extra beds. The maximum occupancy per room is three guests, and there is no capacity for additional beds in the room. Some specifics apply to cots and children, including that one child up to two years old can stay free when using available cots and one child up to three years old can stay free when using existing beds. From four to fifteen years old, a child can stay at a rate of £20 per night when using existing beds. These policies can help families plan budgets and know what to expect from their stay. It is important to note that all cots and extra beds are subject to availability, and the minimum check in age at this property is 18 years. For travelers seeking a straightforward seaside break that offers essential comforts and a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere, Denewood Hotel presents a compelling option. It is particularly well suited for beach lovers who want to spend time by the water, for couples seeking a quiet retreat within reach of Bournemouth’s buzz, and for small families who appreciate a simple, well run base with reliable WiFi and parking. The hotel’s proximity to the coast means days can begin with a beach walk and end with a calm, restorative stay that is easy to repeat. The inclusion of free on site parking and the presence of WiFi across the property add genuine practicality for modern travelers who want to balance exploration with ease of access to their accommodation. In sum, Denewood Hotel offers a practical, comfortable seaside stay in a well located part of Boscombe. It delivers dependable basics, a friendly atmosphere, and a location that makes a day at the coast effortless. If you are planning a Bournemouth break and value a straightforward, honest stay where the essentials are well managed, Denewood is a strong contender that warrants serious consideration. Booking a stay here means choosing a simple, dependable base that respects your time, offers convenient access to the beach, and provides solid value in a popular seaside destination.
