The location is ideal for the Usher Hall. A 20 minute walk from waverly station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and ready for my arrival.

We had a very early arrival and the staff did their very best to get us checked into our rooms as soon as possible, as we were all very tired from the long journey there. The hotel is centrally located, within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and many local attractions. We found our stay very comfortable, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring a traditional Scottish breakfast along with a nice variety of pastries, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, and breads. They also had a few "made-to-order items" off a menu, like omelets, eggs Benedict, pancakes, fried eggs, etc. While the rooms were a bit dated, with creaky flooring, they were clean, cozy, and offered a wonderful view of Edinburgh Castle. The housekeeping staff were especially kind and accommodating. We also appreciated the small touches like the tea kettle, bottled water, and cookies, which made for a perfect afternoon warm-up after a day of exploring. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to others.
