Nice period property tastefully decorated inside.
We did request a room change to be near a family Member in a second room. All rooms are lovely. The location next to Cake and Culture was a bonus. The village is also fab.

About This Hotel
Edgbaston House sits in a quiet, upscale part of Birmingham, a short stroll or quick ride from the city’s busiest streets. The property is positioned at 16 Highfield Road, with Broad Street a little over a kilometre away and Brindleyplace just 1.4 kilometres from the door. That means guests can easily reach a wealth of city dining, nightlife and cultural options while enjoying a calm, residential ambiance at the end of the day. A small on-site garden adds a touch of greenery to the stay and provides a peaceful space to unwind after a day in the city. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is offered for guests who drive, making this a convenient choice for travellers who want to combine city exploration with a relaxed base. Edgbaston House offers a boutique atmosphere that suits couples, solo travellers and those seeking a quiet city break. The house comprises 14 rooms, each designed to provide comfort and a good night’s sleep in a refined setting. While the listing does not detail every room feature, the photography collection highlights beds and well appointed bathrooms, hinting at a practical and comfortable approach to guest accommodation. A key point for guests planning a city stay is the occupancy policy: a maximum of two guests per room and no capacity for extra beds or cots. This makes Edgbaston House particularly well suited to adults sharing a room who value privacy and a calm atmosphere after a day of sightseeing. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. The property also states an age policy that the minimum check-in age is 18, reinforcing its appeal to adults seeking a mature and uncomplicated stay. Pets are not allowed, and there is a strict policy noting that children cannot stay at the property. While there may be no on-site restaurant listed, the location near Broad Street and Brindleyplace means guests can easily discover a range of dining options within a short walk. The room and property photos also suggest a comfortable, contemporary style with an emphasis on clean lines, soft lighting and a relaxing atmosphere that suits couples looking for a romantic city break or travellers seeking a peaceful base for work or leisure. Guests who stay at Edgbaston House should expect a straightforward, efficient experience. The property offers reliable WiFi across all areas, a practical benefit for both business and leisure travellers who need to stay connected. Free private parking on site is another strong selling point for visitors who prefer to manage their own schedule without hunting for spaces nearby. The garden area provides an inviting outdoor space where guests can pause between urban adventures, while the lobby and entrance area give a sense of a refined, welcoming start to the stay. Location is undoubtedly a highlight. Being within easy reach of Broad Street means guests are close to Birmingham’s vibrant entertainment and dining scene, while Brindleyplace offers riverside walks and additional amenities. Yet Edgbaston House manages to preserve a sense of seclusion that makes it a good contrast to the busier hotel belts. This blend of accessibility and calm is ideal for travellers who want to experience the city without sacrificing a peaceful, retreat-like atmosphere at the end of the day. The accommodation is best suited to adults who value privacy, convenience and a compact, well curated space. The occupancy limit and child policy help define the property as a boutique option for couples or solo travellers who prefer a quieter environment. The on-site parking is a practical advantage for those who plan to explore Birmingham with a car, providing ease and flexibility that enhances the overall stay. In terms of what makes Edgbaston House stand out, guests often note the combination of location, value and a garden setting that adds a rare touch of serenity in a busy city. While there is no mention of extensive resort facilities, the emphasis on a comfortable room layout, reliable connectivity and clear policies ensures that guests know what to expect before they arrive. For those who prioritise a refined base in an accessible part of Birmingham, Edgbaston House offers an appealing balance of calm, convenience and quiet hospitality that can elevate a short break or a longer city visit.
