Amazing staff in a great location. Food was amazing.
A fabulous stay, thanks for your kindness, and the delicious breakfasts ! Lovely !
STAY HERE! The absolutely best hotel experience I've had in ages! The hotel is fantastic and the owners are the kindest, most generous people ever! Great Breakfast cooked by owner (get the Scottish breakfast). The location is about 1.5 miles from the castle and easily accessible by bus, taxi or ride-share. If you want a personal touch, friendly people and information about Scotland you MUST STAY HERE!
Lovely friendly host. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Had a bar area which had books and games - we enjoyed a wee drink and a game of dominos. Quality breakfast.
A cute little hotel close to the university. The staff was very sweet and helpful. Of particular note was the cooked-to-order breakfast.
Very friendly owners, comfortable bed, great showe, good breakfast, easy stroll to bars and restaurants, quiet residential street
Home from home
Wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough.
The location is great, there is a bus stop right next to the hotel. I suggest you book for the breakfast because it is worth it. Also, the staff is extremly nice and welcoming.
Great location and great bus service close to hotel
Very friendly hosts. Room was clean and comfortable and had a nice garden view.
Lovely place to stay. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the location was great - just a 25 minute walk to the centre of town or very close to a direct bus stop.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and we were lucky to get the best room with the most incredible view - just wow. Breakfast was amazing, always fresh cooked and lots to choose from. And Kevin is an absolute star. He really made us feel at home. Can`t wait to come back
Great location if taking the bus. The breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh each morning. The owners and staff were very friendly and had good recommendations.
Kevin and Susan were fabulous hosts. I can’t say enough about it. From explaining getting around the city and making us notes on a map to use for our tours and activities to cooking a wonderful breakfast in the morning and packing us one up for our early flight the next day! Thoughtful, and above and beyond! The hotel itself is so charming and every detail accounted for! Will forever recommend them to friends and family traveling to Scotland!
Kevin was a welcoming host, and the room and the bar and breakfast room were beautiful and comfortable.
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The room was a good size, it was exceptionally clean, the bathroom was very clean and a good size. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great sleep. The breakfast was beautiful and the choice was excellent. Had a couple of drinks in the bar which was well stocked and well priced. The couple who run the hotel were amazing, so friendly and really do go the extra mile for you. We loved this hotel and would highly recommend staying there.
Enjoyed the warm hospitality and the comfy bed, particularly after 4 nights out at gigs! Lovely vegan breakfast made for us, too. It's on a quiet street but a short walk to a bus stop which takes you into town. Also, a short walk to Holyrood Park.
Staff were lovely - very helpful and friendly. Room was a great size, comfortable and clean and the free breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay here again if/when we're back in Edinburgh!
We had a great two night stay at the hotel, the location was perfect for our needs as we had a function close by. We were able to park directly outside and leave the car for the duration of our stay. The 20 minute walk into the city had stunning autumnal views of the surrounding area, such a good location for a weekend stay in Edinburgh. Kevin was a friendly and helpful host always on hand to help with local information or booking a taxis. Our room was very quiet, clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when we’re in the area.
