Michael 8.0

The location was excellent and the room was basic but comfortable. This IBIS is quite dated with old style livery but it was good value and in a very central location. It needs updating but was very good for a short stay. I will definitely stay there again.

About This Hotel

Located at the corner of Princess Street and Charles Street, ibis Manchester Centre Princess Street places you right in Manchester’s vibrant city centre. The hotel is within a short walk of Piccadilly and Oxford Road Stations, making it a convenient choice for rail travellers and visitors who want to soak up the urban atmosphere without a lengthy commute. The surrounding streets are filled with shops, cafés, and cultural venues, and the compact size of the city centre means you can reach key sights on foot or by a quick taxi ride. This is a practical base for a city break, a shopping trip, or a quick business visit where accessibility matters. The property is home to 125 rooms, designed to deliver straightforward comfort and convenient functionality. While the details of renovation are not provided, the building presents a clean, modern appearance in keeping with an approachable city centre standard. Guest rooms are arranged to maximise space and light, with a simple, uncluttered layout that helps you unwind after a day exploring Manchester. Practical touches such as ample lighting, easy access to power outlets, and well organized storage help you settle in quickly, whether you are travelling solo, as a couple, or with family. Food and drink play a central role at this ibis. On site dining options include a restaurant and a lounge or bar where you can relax with a drink or a light bite. Breakfast is available on site, giving you a straightforward start to busy days spent wandering the city. For travellers who value flexibility, the property also offers a lobby atmosphere that invites casual meetings or a quick working session with complimentary WiFi. WiFi is available in all areas free of charge, so you can stay connected whether you are planning your next outing or catching up on work. Families and guests with children will find the hotel accommodating. The property welcomes guests of all ages, and there are family friendly policies in place. Specific guidelines cover cots and extra beds, and it is noted that all cots and extra beds are subject to availability. The hotel has a clear approach to children staying with existing beds, and it points out that children of any age are welcome. For larger groups, the policies remind guests that more than seven rooms may carry different terms and additional supplements. This makes it easy to tailor a family stay or a group visit while keeping expectations realistic. For those who travel with pets, the hotel offers a pet friendly policy on request, with charges possibly applying. Parking is available on site, a practical perk in a busy city centre location where street parking can be limited. The presence of on site parking alongside convenient access to transit adds a layer of ease for guests arriving by car or planning day trips outside Manchester. The property also notes a minimum check in age of 18, a standard policy that helps ensure a smooth arrival process. In terms of amenities and atmosphere, the hotel balances a business friendly edge with approachable, everyday comfort. The on site restaurant and the lounge or bar provide options for socialising or winding down after a day of meetings or sightseeing. You will find practical facilities for work or leisure, including business facilities that support meetings, presentations, or quick plan updates between excursions. The lobby and reception areas offer a welcoming first impression and a space to gather before heading out to discover the city’s music venues, galleries, and theatres. This ibis is particularly well suited to city explorers who want a central location with straightforward, value driven accommodation. It appeals to guests who prioritise easy access to transportation links, a reliable breakfast option, and the flexibility to manage family trips with clear policies for children and cots. It also suits travellers who value the freedom to come and go as they please, thanks to a no curfew policy, the option to bring a pet with prior arrangement, and the ability to store parking on site for convenience. If you are seeking a base in the heart of Manchester that makes it easy to walk to stations and to explore theatres, galleries, and shopping, this property offers a practical, dependable choice. Overall, ibis Manchester Centre Princess Street is a smart pick for those who want to experience Manchester without the fuss of a large hotel. It delivers essential comforts, efficient service, and a location that puts the city’s core attractions within easy reach. It suits solo travellers looking for value, couples planning a weekend city break, and families seeking a friendly, flexible stay in a lively urban setting. If location, practical amenities, and straightforward pricing matter to you, this hotel is worth considering for your Manchester itinerary.
