We decided to stay at this hotel for our wedding in Istanbul because our wedding venue was on the same street. The rooms were spacious and had beautiful view on the Bosphorus, the location is right next to Blue Mosque. The staff took amazing care of us and our wedding guests in this important time, they were very helpful and available and we really appreciate that, thank you!

Clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to eat / drink on doorstep. Fantastic views from the room we were in. A decent selection of things for breakfast to choose from. The location was excellent. Literally minutes walk away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet Square, etc. Nice rooftop as well to chill out on. Great value for money and place overall.

Maria 10.0

My husband and I live in Los Angeles and have been coming here for three years in a row — every time it feels like coming home. The hotel is cozy, full of character, and perfectly located for exploring Istanbul’s historic center — everything is just a short walk away. There is also an elevator, which is very convenient when you have luggage or after a long day of sightseeing. I highly recommend booking a room with a balcony and sea view — waking up to that view is unforgettable. Room 301 is my absolute favorite! I want to give special thanks to Cesar at the reception — he is always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. But honestly, the entire front desk team is amazing — I have never met a friendlier and more understanding group anywhere in the world (and I travel a lot, so I have plenty to compare with!). You can book any tour directly at the hotel, get great advice, and they will help you with absolutely anything. For example, I urgently needed dry cleaning before an early flight the next morning, and they arranged everything quickly and at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and everything is designed to make your stay relaxing. Next year we will definitely return to Magnuara!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and were able to provide good information. The room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast had lots of varieties of food. The location was excellent with an easy walk to many of the main sites like Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar etc. The street outside the hotel was full of restaurants and bars with unlimited choices of places to eat.

Joseph 10.0

The location was very convenient for touring the main attractions of Istanbul including Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. The staff were very accommodating, especially Abdul. The breakfast was delicious and kitchen staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were adequate size and clean. Our family of 4 occupied adjoining rooms and really enjoyed our time living in Magnaura House while being tourists in Istanbul. This hotel is highly recommended for sightseeing in Istanbul.

About This Hotel

Magnaura House Hotel sits in the heart of Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet district, a small intimate property designed for guests who want to step from the doors directly into the city’s most photographed monuments. The Blue Mosque is a short 600 metre stroll away, and Hagia Sophia is even closer at around 400 metres. The address to find your way is Cankurtaran Mh. Akbıyık Cd No 50 Sultanahmet, placing you in the very center of old Istanbul where narrow lanes, timeless facades and centuries of history frame your daily walks. This location is ideal for travelers who want to foreground sightseeing, with major attractions almost at your doorstep and easy access to local streets lined with cafes and shops. Magnaura House Hotel is an urban boutique experience rather than a resort style stay. The listing emphasizes practical comforts for city breaks rather than resort facilities. There is no beach or pool listed among the on site amenities, so this is a property that focuses on location, efficient rooms and essential services that help you make the most of a short or extended city visit. You will find a simple but welcoming atmosphere in the heart of one of Istanbul’s most vibrant neighborhoods, where history, culture and cuisine mingle to create a memorable stay. Rooms at Magnaura House Hotel total 16 in number, offering compact spaces designed for convenience after a day of exploration. The property is presented with clear entry points to free WiFi access in the rooms and throughout the building, a practical feature that guests consistently rate highly. While the listing does not provide explicit renovation details, the property and its rooms are depicted in photography that highlights neat, well maintained interiors. Some of the images indicate sea views from certain rooms, adding a sense of openness to the typical city dwelling and offering a special perspective on the surrounding shoreline and distant horizons on clear days. Food and drink options are framed around the buffet breakfast shown in the photo gallery. The images point to a dining area where a buffet style breakfast is served, a reliable option for guests starting early for a day of sightseeing. While the listing does not spell out multiple on site restaurants or bars, the breakfast experience is clearly highlighted, giving you a straightforward option to begin each day with energy before you head out to explore the historic quarter. From a family perspective Magnaura House Hotel is friendly towards children and offers flexible policies to help families plan their stay. The property states that children of any age are welcome, and it caps the total guest count at four per reservation, making it a good choice for small families or groups seeking a central base. Cots and extra beds are subject to availability, and the maximum number of extra beds is one. There are several child oriented guidelines worth noting: one child up to and including three years old can stay free when using an available cot, and up to three children up to six years old can stay free when using existing beds. Children seven years and older will be charged as adults at this property. The policies also advise that correct prices and occupancy information should be confirmed by adding the number and ages of children in the group during search and booking. These rules reflect a practical approach to family stays while maintaining a comfortable room capacity and service levels. Connectivity is a clear focus for Magnaura House Hotel. WiFi is available in all areas and is free of charge, supporting both leisure browsing and work needs during your Istanbul visit. Check in from 14:00 and check out by 12:00 provide predictable routines for travelers who are balancing sightseeing with rest. The lack of pet friendly policies is explicitly stated, so travelers with pets can plan accordingly. In terms of relaxation and entertainment, the property does not list a spa, pool or wellness center. The appeal here rests in the convenience of a well located, clean and comfortable base from which to enjoy Istanbul. The lobby and reception areas are represented in the photo collection, offering a welcoming first impression and a practical space to plan your day or unwind after a day of exploration. The surrounding area is rich with cultural experiences, from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia to nearby boulevards and markets, all within easy reach on foot. Who is Magnaura House Hotel ideal for? It is well suited to travelers who want an immersive city break in one of Istanbul’s most historic districts. Culture lovers will appreciate the short walk to major sights, while solo travelers and couples can enjoy a straightforward, unfussy base with reliable WiFi and a calm interior. Families may find the flexible child policies helpful for planning a stay in the heart of the city, particularly for small groups that value a central location and the convenience of buffet breakfast. If you value proximity to top landmarks, a clean and comfortable environment, and practical amenities for budget friendly city stays, Magnaura House Hotel is a strong choice in Istanbul’s historic core.
