Lovely afternoon tea. We did have to wait a while for the afternoon tea serving(35 min) but it was worth waiting for. One had glutenallergy and the afternoon tea as well as the breakfast was excellent.

The location was perfect for an out of the way experience, the long drive to the hotel entrance giving you a feeling of traveling away to a secret destination. The staff were friendly and helpful with the fireplace in the main reception being a great add on. Giving you a warm smokey welcome whenever you come back from a trip. The atmosphere in general was amazing, giving you the feeling of traveling back in time and surrounding you with luxury. The rooms open balcony was a welcome surprise and really made the room a bit more special. Along with the extremely comfortable couch to enjoy an afternoon doze in.
