Perfect location, exceptionally clean and tidy. Our room was lovely and spacious. Couldn’t recommend enough. Friendly, helpful owners who have lots of knowledge about the area for people who want to go off exploring.

Claire 10.0

Lovely Georgian guest house, very clean and comfortable with good facilities including USB charger. Freshly prepared breakfast with lots of choice. Great location on the sea front with a sea view. Very helpful host.

Zoe 10.0

The hosts were brilliant- really responsive and helpful initially when I was arranging our arrival time and for advice on nearby parking. On arrival it was such a warm welcome and really fascinating to learn the history of the building and the area a bit. The location was perfect, easy to find, local parking available nearby, right on the waterfront and just lovely to walk along the esplanade. The room was comfortable and clean, and the decor throughout was really lovely. Breakfast was great, a nice range of options and a special shout out to the homemade Greek yoghurt and fruit compote which was particularly delicious! Really pleased overall and would definitely recommend to others as well as stay again if we are in the area.

I stayed in Weymouth at this hotel and was more than satisfied with my experience. The breakfast room was spotless and beautifully presented, with tables overlooking the beach that made every morning feel special. The room itself was cosy, comfortable, and very well cared for. The hosts truly attended to every detail and their warmth and hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Their effort and pride in maintaining such a welcoming environment were greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a delightful and memorable visit — I would gladly return.

The location was excellent. We stayed in the Deluxe King Room which was very bright and well appointed, overlooking the esplanade and right on the sea front which had two floor to ceiling Georgian windows with beautiful shutters. The breakfast room was very comfortable and there was a good choice of cereals, nuts and seeds and natural yogurt with home made fruit compote followed by a choice of cooked breakfasts. Derek and Suzanne were very good hosts and even provided cake for guests in the afternoon located in the lobby entrance which was a very nice touch.

We very much liked the location on the sea front at Weymouth. The room was excellent and had a super sea view. However, the best aspect of our stay was the lovely warm welcome from Derek, the owner. Superb breakfast and superb customer service from explaining where to visit and explore and recommendations for places to eat. A lovely touch was Derek's wife,Susan, providing the lovely breakfast and one of her tasty cakes in the afternoon. Highly recommended.

About This Hotel

Perched on The Esplanade and overlooking Weymouth Bay, No 98 Boutique Hotel welcomes guests with a sense of coastal serenity. The building is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse that has been newly refurbished, preserving its elegant façade while refreshing the interior for modern comfort. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, ensuring easy connectivity whether you are catching up on messages or planning your day by the sea. Location is a clear advantage for holidaymakers who want quick access to the waterfront. The Esplanade places you within steps of the water and Weymouths scenic coastline, with wide sea views from many angles. The bay setting also provides a peaceful backdrop after a day of exploration, while the small scale of the house creates an intimate, home away from home feel. Guests often choose No 98 for the beach and sea oriented atmosphere. The property directly faces the coast and many images in the collection highlight the Beach and Sea View themes. Some rooms offer ocean glimpses that bring the outside in, especially when you wake to the sun on the horizon or the sound of waves. With ten rooms, the hotel offers a boutique experience that balances character and comfort. The Georgian townhouse heritage is complemented by thoughtful renovations that keep period features in play while ensuring comfortable beds and well appointed spaces. The range of room styles is small but diverse, and photographs of living areas and seating spaces suggest a calm, inviting ambience where guests can unwind after a day near the water. The overall feel is refined without being stiff, making it suitable for couples and small groups seeking a relaxing seaside base. Dining and on site meals are part of the guest experience as shown in the property visuals. A dedicated dining area appears in multiple images, hinting at a space where guests can enjoy relaxed breakfasts or light meals with a view of the bay. Whether you prefer a simple bite after a morning by the beach or a more leisurely sit down, the setting supports easy, unpretentious dining right on the doorstep. Family policies are clearly stated in the hotel information. The maximum occupancy is two guests per room, and there is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Children older than seven are welcome, which makes the property a better fit for couples and older children rather than larger family groups. The policies also note a minimum check in age of 18, flexibility for guests to come and go without curfews, and WiFi access in some rooms free of charge. Beyond the bedroom, the overall experience centers on relaxation and quiet enjoyment of the coastal setting. The combination of bay views, fresh sea air and the intimate scale of the property encourages a slower pace. You can stroll along the Esplanade, watch the tides, or simply unwind in a comfortable room after a day of sightseeing. While the hotel does not advertise spa facilities, the sense of calm and the connection to the sea provide a natural wellness backdrop that many guests find restorative. This boutique option is ideal for travelers who value historic charm, a prime seaside location and a personal, attentive touch. It suits couples seeking a romantic escape, readers hoping for a peaceful retreat, and adults or older children ready for a small, characterful base from which to explore Weymouth and the surrounding Dorset coast.
