So quaint and stylishly furnished- and literally 3-5 mins walk to the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, the train and tram stations.
The location is excellent, close to major attractions. The breakfast was great and rooftop is very nice.
The very helpful staff, great location, pleasant room - tea/coffee comfortable chair clean Good breakfast nice roof top terrace, where you can eat your own food and drinks.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. I liked it the first time, so I decided to come back — and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The rooftop terrace is amazing, the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or a beer after a long day of walking. The room is cozy and clean — small, but just enough for a good sleep. The location is perfect. Everything here feels just right.
Everything. Location and staff A+

Great location close to the main attractions on the Anatolian (Asian) side of Istanbul. Really comfortable room with AC, great electric pot yo make tea or coffee in the room, amazing breakfast, beautiful rooftop terrace, exceptionally warm, kind and helpful staff. I was allowed to check out an hour later to accommodate my flight.

Beautiful rooms, central location, amazing view and excellent breakfast.
Beautiful terrace with views of Istanbul and delicious breakfasts.
Location - right at the heart of Old City, walking distance from Hagia Sofia, Hypodrome, Main Cistern, Blue Mosque. Room - clean, very well maintained (we stayed 3 nights, got the room cleaned after each) Breakfast - the terrace where this is served makes all the money, to sip the tea with local sweets while enjoying the Bosphorus Strait - unforgettable moments!

Osmanhan Hotel is a charming place with an authentic atmosphere. The rooms are decorated with traditional Ottoman-style patterns, giving a unique and historical feel. One of the best parts of our stay was having breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a beautiful sea view. The staff was friendly and helpful, even assisting us with our luggage. Overall, it’s a great hotel and we had a very pleasant experience.

About This Hotel
Situated in the historic heart of Istanbul, Osmanhan sits in the Sultanahmet district where centuries of history surround you and the streets invite exploration. The hotel is a small eight room property that feels intimate yet welcoming, making it an ideal base for a city break focused on culture and architecture. You can amble to iconic sites on foot, soak up the atmosphere of old town lanes, and drift from one historic gem to another with ease. In this part of the city you are never far from a courtyard, a courtyard cafe, or a mosaic of stories told by the walls and arches you pass along the way. One standout feature is a rooftop terrace that looks out toward the Blue Mosque and the Marmara Sea. On clear days the skyline feels close enough to touch, and in the evening the glow of the water provides a quiet backdrop after a day of sightseeing. The terrace offers a peaceful vantage point from which to reflect on the day, or simply to enjoy a moment of calm while the city hums below. This is a prized asset for guests who want a memorable postcard view without leaving their hotel. Inside you will find eight rooms that balance traditional Istanbul character with practical comfort. While renovation details are not specified, the property appears well maintained and thoughtfully presented in guest photos. Several rooms offer balconies or terraces with city views or glimpses of the sea, adding to the sense of a personal retreat in the heart of the old town. The arrangement feels intimate rather than sprawling, which suits travelers who value personal service and a homey atmosphere over large scale amenities. Each room is a quiet refuge, designed to help you unwind after days spent wandering through markets, mosques, and museums. Food and drink form a simple yet satisfying part of the Osmanhan experience. Breakfast is included, and the property photos indicate a buffet breakfast option. Starting the day with a generous selection of choices helps you tackle a day of exploration in this famously walkable area. Dining nearby is an easy pleasure, with a range of cafés and eateries within a short stroll that let you sample local flavors and Turkish specialties without venturing far from your temporary base. Osmanhan also makes a family friendly base for a city break. The hotel accommodates guests with a clear and accommodating policy: the maximum number of guests is three, and while there is provision for one cot, there is no capacity for extra beds. Children of any age are welcome, and a child up to and including three years old can stay free when using a cot. This approach keeps things simple for families, helping you plan the stay without surprises. If you are traveling with little ones, a compact, thoughtful space can be a real advantage when you want to balance sightseeing with downtime. Connectivity and convenience are clearly important here. WiFi is available in all areas at no extra charge, a practical benefit for travelers who need to stay connected while on the move. Free public parking nearby is possible, though reservation is needed, which makes planning a carless exploration of the city more straightforward. Pets are not allowed, a detail some travelers will appreciate in a historic district where space and comfort are carefully balanced. For those who prefer to arrive and check in on their own terms, the hotel sets a straightforward policy: check in from 14:00 and check out by 12:00, with flexible arrival and departure options to suit your itinerary. This hotel is ideal for travelers who want to immerse themselves in historic Istanbul without staying in a large chain property. It is well suited to couples seeking a romantic base with atmospheric views, as well as small families looking to cover a compact itinerary of mosques, palaces, and bazaar adventures. If you crave a central location with a genuine sense of place, Osmanhan delivers. Its intimate scale, friendly service, and proximity to the sights of Sultanahmet create a powerful combination for a richly rewarding city break. With a rooftop terrace that frames the Blue Mosque and the Marmara Sea, well organized rooms, and thoughtful policies for families and travelers, this hotel offers a focused, authentic Istanbul experience.
