The whole house, including bedrooms, was beautifully furnished in traditional Ottoman style and it felt like a family home rather than a bland anonymous place to pass through. Unlike many larger hotels, it had real character. The owners and staff were all friendly and helpful at all times, answering questions, recommending places to eat and visit and chatting to guests - they seemed genuinely interested in their guests. The cafe that is part of the hotel was lovely - we had wonderful breakfasts there. The location was great and the building was set back from a small road so it felt quiet and private. The neighbourhood was also very interesting - altogether a great place to stay if you want to have more than just the standard tourist experience of Istanbul. And getting to other parts of the city was really easy by metro, ferry or bus.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The hotel has a charming old-style atmosphere, yet it’s very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The family who runs it is incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the experience feel even more special. The garden is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing — fresh, generous, and full of local flavors. I highly recommend this place, especially for longer stays. For sure I will be back!

This hotel was perfect!! Very friendly and helpful. Gulsah was so very helpful with logistics and suggestions for what to see, how to get from here to there, and where to eat locally. I previously had stayed at two hotels in the Old City, and this was my final Türkiye Istanbul stay (after flying in via Izmir from my Sirince/Selcuk visits). My total trip was 3 weeks, at this hotel for 4 nights. A very comfortable, clean home/hotel with traditional decor from the family, wonderful architectural details... it all lent to a friendly, quiet ambience. My bed was super comfortable and I slept so well. I had the top floor bedroom (lots of winding stairs to my room but it did not bother me, and is part of the inherent architectural character). The room had pleasant neighborhood views above the garden. My room also had a balcony terrace that I didn't use as the nights were cooler during my stay and I was out most of the day. I booked this hotel based on reviews and was interested in the Asian Side of Istanbul. A neighbor of mine here in LA is from Istanbul and suggested the Asian side, and as I had previously stayed in the Old City, to try it for a more local feel. I loved this quiet location and the hotel. The included breakfast in the cafe downstairs was perfect. I purchased lunch here, and also a delicious dinner one night. I highly recommend this hotel! I felt so comfortable, and Gulsah and their team were very friendly and helpful and great conversations with Gulsah that reconfirmed how much I like travelling. Plus their suggestions (more I describe below) and it is easy and nice to take a ferry across to the other side of the city. While I was "travel-tired" after three weeks and not looking forward to my long return direct flight to LA California, I also did not want to leave as I felt the good energy here at this hotel. And so, someday I must come back! I WANT TO RETURN and stay here again!! Thanks so much!!

"I longed for a stay steeped in Ottoman charm, and this quaint little haven answered that call. Wrapped in greenery and graced with timeless design, the house felt like a dream etched in wood and stone. From the moment we passed through the welcoming door, wandered the serene lobby, and entered our room, every corner whispered beauty and left memories blooming in its wake."

The property is a beautiful historical home with many original period features retained in the rooms and building. The garden and modern cafe next door are a wonderful contrast to the historical building and a lovely setting for breakfasts. Speaking of, the breakfast is delicious and incredibly generous - setting you up for a big day of site seeing. The staff were all so welcoming and so kind, allowing us to leave our bags at the hotel after check out to explore the city.

The photos show a range of rooms that emphasize sleeping areas, living spaces and practical bathrooms. Expect classic touches that echo the building’s Ottoman heritage, with furnishings and layout that feel thoughtful without feeling overdone. While the listing does not highlight modern resort style renovations, the charm of the period architecture is preserved, giving guests a sense of stepping back in time while still enjoying a private, well kept residence with all the essential comforts. Guest rooms are complemented by shared spaces that invite you to slow down and savor the atmosphere. The hotel places emphasis on communal living areas where you can relax in a seating area, enjoy a quiet moment in the living room or gather in a dining area for light meals or a casual drink. The presence of a dedicated lounge and TV room, visible in the photo set, suggests a comfortable common area where families and friends can enjoy downtime together. The garden and courtyard setting provide outdoor space for fresh air, a welcome escape from the bustle of city streets, and a place to reflect after a day of exploration. When it comes to eating and drinking, the Seratonin Café in the garden is a clear focal point of the property. Guests can start the day with a simple bite or a hot drink, and the photos imply a relaxed dining vibe with a dedicated space for meals in a cozy, charming environment. The on site café offers a convenient option without needing to leave the property, which is especially appealing for travelers who value ease and atmosphere in equal measure. While there is no dedicated restaurant spotlight in the description, the available images show a dining vibe and spaces that support a light, casual approach to meals during your stay. The property is clearly welcoming to families and guests who travel with children. The policies state that children of any age are welcome, and there is no strict minimum age for other visitors beyond the standard check in age. The maximum occupancy per room or stay is four guests, and there is no information about extra beds or cots being available.
