About This Hotel
Point Hotel Barbaros is a standout five star luxury retreat perched along Istanbul’s Bosphorus. From its 18th floor restaurant you can expect dramatic water views that frame every meal, and a large sports centre ensures you stay active during a busy city break. The property also houses a spa and wellness centre, a soothing sauna and a traditional hammam, designed to unwind after a day of sightseeing or meetings. The vibe is refined yet welcoming, with attentive staff ready to tailor your stay to your plans, whether you are here for shopping, sightseeing or a quiet escape by the water. Setting matters here. The hotel sits in Esentepe, with windows that look out over the strait and a calm atmosphere that contrasts with Istanbul’s bustle. You will be able to wander to local neighbourhoods or hop between iconic sights by taxi or public transport, then return to a secluded waterfront style setting that still feels connected to the city. The address at Yildiz Posta Cad. No 29 anchors you in a well placed area where you can soak up city life while enjoying tranquil harbourside ambience at the hotel. Rooms are designed for comfort with a choice of sea or Bosphorus view options visible from many windows. The 64 rooms combine modern furnishings with practical layouts that maximise space for both couples and families. In room features you will find beds and seating areas that invite relaxation after a long day, and many rooms offer a balcony or terrace that brings the waterside mood inside. Bathrooms are well equipped and contemporary, with clean lines and good lighting. While the property does not specify renovation dates, the overall presentation feels fresh and well maintained, with attention to guest comfort across room categories. Food and drink take center stage here. The 18th floor restaurant is a signature feature, offering Bosphorus vistas to accompany meals. In addition to the main dining venue, there are lounge and bar spaces where you can unwind with a drink or a light bite. The hotel advertises a buffet breakfast option and other on site dining experiences that align with a refined travel itinerary. The combination of panoramic views and diverse dining settings makes mealtimes memorable, whether you are starting the day with a feast of pastries and hot dishes or enjoying a relaxed evening with a cocktail and a view. Families are welcome here and the property provides clear guidance on occupancy and cots. The policy makes explicit that children of all ages are accepted and that there is a maximum of three guests per room. Cots and existing beds are subject to availability, and there is no capacity for extra beds. Specific allowances apply for younger children with free stays for babies and early age groups when using existing beds, and additional charges for older children when sharing existing beds. These rules are designed to offer flexibility for family groups while maintaining comfort for all guests. Wellbeing and leisure are central to the Point Hotel Barbaros experience. In addition to the spa and hammam, there is a wellness area to help you unwind, plus a fitness centre that supports active routines. Complimentary WiFi is available in all areas, ensuring you can work or share photos without interruption. If you prefer more low key entertainment, the property features lounge spaces where you can relax, as well as a library and game room that provide casual options for downtime. The mix of health oriented facilities with social spaces reflects Istanbul’s balance of energy and calm. For whom is this hotel ideal? It suits travellers who want a luxurious waterfront setting with easy access to the city’s attractions while staying comfortable and well cared for. Couples drawn to panoramic water views and refined dining will appreciate the restaurant on the upper floor, while families will find a supportive framework for children, cots, and shared bed configurations. Business travellers can benefit from reliable WiFi across areas and the option to use the hotel’s fitness and spa facilities between meetings. In short, if you value elegant surroundings, water views, wellness facilities and flexible family policies, this is a strong choice. Point Hotel Barbaros invites guests to enjoy Istanbul from a calm, upscale base that blends scenic waterfront ambience with modern convenience.
