Great location for exploring the old parts of Bursa. Very attentive staff. The house is old and some of the interior is aged but that is what gives this place it’s charm. And the bed was unusually big and comfortable. Can be warmly recommended.

This property was such a cool old building! And the owner kept us a parking spot just for us! We were very thankful. Breakfast was great!

The location is perfect to all main historical sites and it is near (5 min.) the tram and bus station (Timurtaspasa). Host's are kind and is willing to help even though he cannot speak any English. I stayed two nights. On my departure day I needed to leave early, and he prepared the breakfast according to my departure time. Facilities are old but it is clean.

We really enjoyed our stay! The localisation is pefect - the hotel is basically in the historical area. We really liked the rustic, antique enterior, but we especially liked the owners friendliness and proactivity, as well as his helpful recommendations about spots in the city (hamams, restaurant and barber shops too :) ).

Safran Hotel was the perfect solution for us - we wanted to stay in the historic area in an older building, walking distance to most locations we wanted to see. It is a basic hotel that meets all your needs. We especially appreciate that they had good air conditioning and a parking spot for us across the street. The proprietor is super nice, bring your translator app if you don't speak Turkish.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, poised on a hill right above the UluCami and the Koza Han, near many interesting sights and restaurants. Located in a charming old 19th c. restored home.

Our room was large and traditional in style, with a large comfortable bed. The hotel is in a great location right near the clock tower park and within walking distance of the other main attractions of Bursa (mosque, bridge...). The parking space we had requested was waiting for us, right opposite the entrance. Good breakfast.

About This Hotel

Safran Hotel sits in a quiet Bursa neighborhood, surrounded by colorful houses with bay windows. Housed in an Ottoman style building, the hotel blends historic charm with modern comfort. From the moment you step inside the door you feel the city’s rich texture and easygoing rhythm. The property is just a short stroll from Bursa Grand Mosque, with the walk taking you through a pedestrian friendly area where traditional streets and modern life mingle. The Osmangazi district setting offers a calm base for exploring Bursa’s heritage, its markets, and its hillside views without the bustle of a city centre hotel. In short, this is a place to experience Bursa at a relaxed pace while staying close to iconic sights and the inviting local atmosphere. Location and surroundings are a clear strength. The quiet area and the neighboring colorful houses create a photogenic street scene that complements a cultural city break. Guests often appreciate the proximity to major landmarks while enjoying a peaceful retreat after a day of wandering the lanes and alleys that define Bursa’s historic heart. For travelers who want to pair sightseeing with a comfortable home base, Safran Hotel offers a practical balance between accessibility and a charming neighborhood feel. Beach and pool experience is not a highlighted feature here. Safran Hotel is positioned as a city hotel rather than a resort or seaside escape. There is no explicit mention of a pool or direct beach access in the listing. Visitors looking for a sun and sea holiday will find Bursa’s landscapes and riverside walks appealing, while those seeking a low key urban retreat will value the hotel as a convenient starting point for daily excursions and leisurely evenings nearby. Rooms and renovation details are presented as intimate and thoughtfully appointed. With a total of ten rooms, the property emphasizes a boutique experience. The photo gallery and room descriptors point to well arranged spaces that include practical comforts such as a seating area and coffee or tea facilities. Many rooms offer city views or a tranquil street view, which enhances the sense of being in a real Bursa neighborhood rather than a generic hotel corridor. Bathrooms typically show a modern finish with standard showers and toilets, while decor includes subtle decorative details that reflect a calm and homely vibe. Though the exact renovation timeline isn’t stated, the Ottoman style architecture and the careful layout suggest an atmosphere built to blend period charm with contemporary comfort. Guests can expect clean lines, comfortable beds, and a layout designed for restful stays after busy days exploring Bursa. Food and beverage options are evident in the property’s presentation. The building’s photo collection features images labeled as restaurant or places to eat and related food and drink imagery, indicating on site dining options. This is an appealing feature for travelers who prefer to minimize their evening plans and enjoy meals locally within walking distance of their room. The presence of on site dining choices can simplify day to day travel, particularly after long days of sightseeing. Whether you are seeking a casual bite or a more formal dining moment, the hotel’s dining possibilities contribute to a convenient, all in one stay experience. Family friendliness is a strong talking point. The listing signals a welcoming stance toward children of all ages. Practical policies are laid out to support family travel: the maximum occupancy is four guests per room, and the hotel provides cots and extra beds based on availability. For families, this means flexibility in room configuration and the possibility of using existing beds to keep costs predictable. There are notes about baby cots and extra beds, with rates applying per night, and the policy also clarifies that children six years and older are charged as adults. The property generally welcomes families and highlights the potential for a comfortable shared stay, especially given the urban setting and the on site dining options that can simplify family evenings. Relaxation, wellness, and entertainment are handled with an emphasis on a peaceful, city style stay. While the listing does not describe a spa or dedicated wellness area, guests can unwind in a calm, intimate environment after days spent exploring Bursa. The hotel’s boutique character and quiet surroundings create a conducive atmosphere for reading, light conversation, and late night relaxation. Entertainment and local culture are accessible in the surrounding area, with Bursa’s historic sites and markets just a short walk away, allowing guests to craft a balanced itinerary that blends cultural discovery with downtime back at the hotel. Who this hotel is ideal for becomes clear once you combine the dots. It suits travelers who want a genuine Bursa experience in a calm neighborhood, with easy access to the Grand Mosque and other historic attractions. The intimate, ten room setup appeals to couples and small families seeking comfort without the bustle of larger properties. It is also a strong choice for visitors who value on site dining, reliable WiFi across the property, and the practicality of free private parking with advance notice. The family friendly policies, the possibility of cot and extra bed arrangements, and the overall warm, welcoming tone make Safran Hotel a sensible option for those prioritizing proximity to city sights, authentic local atmosphere, and straightforward, comfortable accommodation in Bursa.
