Location great . Hotel lovely period property.
Why do hotels not put a toilet brush in the bathroom? Basic equipment that should be there. I just don’t understand why not!
Lovely location in Birmingham's only Georgian square. Staff were lovely and helpful. The bar/lounge area has a lovely atmosphere and my late lunch and evening meal were both excellent. (I didn't have time to try the breakfast.)
Good sized room and bathroom. Some freebies in mini fridge. Nice ambience in bar snd restaurant area.
Great hotel in a fantastic location! Will absolutely stay again. Thank you, loved it!
About This Hotel
Saint Pauls House sits on Saint Pauls Square in Birmingham, placing you in the heart of a city known for its culture and vibrant city life. This four star property offers a calm, easy base for visitors who want to explore and unwind without leaving the city center. The surrounding area brings a mix of historic charm and modern energy, with cafes, shops and public transport links all within a short walk. The hotel is small and intimate by design, with 34 rooms that feel comfortable and thoughtfully appointed for a city break or a short business stay. Inside the building, comfort is the priority. Every guest room is air conditioned and equipped with a television offering satellite channels, ensuring you can relax with your favourite shows after a day of sightseeing. The clean lines and practical layouts keep spaces easy to use, while the soft lighting and well chosen fabrics help create a welcoming atmosphere. Renovation or modernization details are not listed beyond the basic description, but the consistent standard across rooms shows a clear focus on restful, uncomplicated stays. When it comes to food and drink, Saint Pauls House keeps things simple and convenient. An on site bar provides a place to unwind with a drink or a quick chat with fellow travelers. Breakfast is offered in the breakfast session as a continental option, providing a practical start to busy days. For those who prefer a light bite or a casual meal, the lounge and dining areas offer space to relax. The photos also show inviting spaces such as a communal lounge, a library corner, and a small patio setting that invites guests to sit, read, or chat in a low key environment. Family friendliness is a notable strength of this hotel. Children of any age are welcome, and the policy is flexible about cots and extra beds with a few important caveats. The maximum number of guests is three per room, and the number of cots or extra beds depends on what option you book. All cots and extra beds are subject to availability. For families traveling with little ones, there are options that can help minimize costs, such as free stays for one child when using existing beds or available cots. The hotel provides a clear framework for families, but guests are advised to confirm with the property about exact bed configurations and pricing for their stay. WiFi is available across all areas of the hotel and is free of charge, making it easy to stay connected while you travel. Private parking is possible on site, though it is not bookable in advance and costs GBP 21.50 per day. If you are traveling with a vehicle, this option can simplify your planning. The property does not permit pets, and the minimum age for check in is 18 years, a detail that may matter for some groups and business travelers. For guests who value space to meet or host, the listing also points to on site meeting or conference facilities. A comfortable lobby and reception area greet guests on arrival, while the simple yet well equipped public areas invite quiet moments between meetings or between sightseeing outings. In addition to practical comforts like a coffee or tea station, you will find towels and wardrobe spaces in the rooms as shown in the photos, along with practical bathroom setups featuring showers and toilets. All in, Saint Pauls House is an excellent choice for travelers who want to be in the mix of Birmingham’s city life while enjoying reliable, straightforward comfort. It is ideal for couples seeking a city break with easy access to dining and nightlife, families looking for flexible arrangements and affordable options, and business travelers who need a central base with meeting space and reliable connectivity. The property earns praise for its location near the square, its consistency in room quality, and the friendly, efficient service that makes a short stay feel welcoming. If you prefer a compact, friendly base from which to discover Birmingham rather than a large resort, Saint Pauls House offers a solid, dependable option with character and convenient amenities.
