Sherwood Guest House

We really enjoyed our two-night stay at Sherwood Guesthouse. The room was cozy, clean, and nicely furnished — perfect for a short stay. Vivienne, our host, was absolutely lovely! She welcomed us warmly and took great care of us throughout our stay. Her friendly manner and helpful tips made us feel right at home. All in all, a great experience — we would definitely come back!

Vivienne, the owner, was could not have been more welcoming and made us feel right at home the moment we met. The house was impeccable and décor most pleasing, was our room. Breakfast served in a superb morning room. Tables were laid with fresh linen and serviettes and the selection of food was excellent.

Welcoming environment, clean and a breakfast that was what you needed for a full day exploring the city. The landlady made our day.

Clean, safe, great amenities, and a wonderful host

Great host (Vivienne) who looked after us with great hospitality, local tips and fantastic breakfast. Great location and 15mins walk into the old town / Arthur’s seat.

Our host was lovely. She had excellent suggestions on places to eat and things to do while we were in Edinburgh. Great breakfast as well.

Fabulous breakfast and the kindest host. Bus stops very near and you are close to Arthur's seat. Would stay there again :)

The room was so clean, you thought that nobody had stayed in before! The mattress was very comfortable!

We had a wonderful stay at Sherwood Guest House when staying in Edinburgh to see Taylor Swift. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, breakfast was wonderful and Vivienne was so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay. Location was also great for getting into the centre. I’d definitely stay here again :)

Very clean, wonderfully comfortable bed. Vivienne was wonderful and had many great recommendations for dining, etc. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh tea and coffee, meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, juices, and more.

Vivienne’s hospitality was perfect - her friendly guidance to see the city ; a personalized cooperation ; serving a delicios breakfast in a cheery, sunny breakfast room. The room was well equipped , aesthetically decorated and very clean. The location was central and easily accessible by public transport. No wonder she’s always full!

Vivienne made the house feel like a home, very easy to get to, nearby a bus stop so it made it very easy to enter the city centre

Vivienne was a superb host, she ensured we had an exceptional experience, providing us with lots of useful knowledge about the city/restaurants/things to see and do as well as lovely chats whenever we saw her. Breakfast was beautifully arranged and left nothing to be desired. We are looking forward to our next stay at Sherwood.
