hotel is located in or near the University of Edinburgh. there is a large outdoor student bar next door with music playing quite late which is fun - if you don't mind music when going to sleep. but the hotel is also near many good restaurants, bars and close to the Mile. Be aware tho the hotel (on Cowgate) is on a street that runs below the Mile so there is an uphill walk.

It was a large immaculate room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and gave me a free hot chocolate at the bar. It was in a excellent location.

The location was in the middle of downtown Old Town and we walked pretty much everywhere. It's also located beside The Three Sisters, so it was easy to grab a drink or food quickly if needed. I took full advantage of the complimentary tea in our room. It was nice to have a selection so I had something to wake me up in the morning and wind down in the evening. The kettle was very handy.

The location of the hotel is very good. Unfortunately, the hotel did not have a European socket to charge a mobile phone. It was a bit noisy in the yard in the evenings.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was better than good. The location to major point of interest is great. The check-in and check-out process was very simple.

The staff were all very nice and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and enough space for two people. It had a wardrobe with hangers with plenty of space for our clothes. The room had a good number of outlets and the hair dryer came with a diffuser!! The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure. It was easy walking distance to a lot of popular sites and night life.
